I haven't played an NCSoft game that I like yet....

Remember when they first made knight online, was quite funny and the faction wars were exciting, though they were only made at special times in the week.

One of my very first mmorpgs, must be like 7 years ago, since then it's been "so so", with their games, Guild wars was decent but i didn't really like the diablo like controles back then.

This one seems to have some of the modern controles, along with massive (add gorgeous to that) animation effects to attacks, they feel like you're in some boss/legendary fight at those levels.

Aion looks like it's brining the good parts from the Asian mmorpg market and adding it with the parts that worked well in the western market. the other mmorpg to have done that, was WoW, though Aion won't kill it, nor will anything ever do, I guess Aion will be a nice stepping stone to show the western mmorpgs, aside from WoW, that it's time to look at both the Asian and Western mmorpgs, not just one of them. Though i hoped WoW did it, but the other companies pretty much just looked at WoW instead, hence the "clones"....

The gameplay and combat action, must be at the top nothc and so far, even looking at rather old beta videos, it seems to be going the right way, not to mention it seeming very fluid and no performance issues. I hardly ever see any fraps from AoC, wonder if the CRY/engine will have a great way to make different systems runs smoothly.

Shame they haven't put up Aion on www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest  yet.  But Far Cry looked and ran awesome on medicore systems, and since there are quite a nice number of videos from beta testers, i suppose it's running smoothly already..
