Not really 100% sure, but I think its USA only.  Check their official site or other websites.

from what i've heard it's open to everybody, so i'm assuming it's open to people in Europe

Its North America ONLY!

They have banned all European IPs so if you want to play in Europe you have to use a proxy server based in the states.

Its a complete disgrace and they need to sort their act out immediately.

Now guys thought its only for North america you must have paitence on the forums it says it is due to change if they can get the liscense agreement through so stop complaing that its not for other countries.

Plus i gont get it why do ppl in taiwan wanna play the english version ....... it makes no sense to me.

By the way....Not everyone who lives in a different country has to be from Taiwan if they want to play this game....

I'm from Europe but I've found a way to play it. I used to play MapleStory when it was still controlled by Wizet. People from Europe could create an account still. When Nexon gained control they banned everyone except North America from making an account. But I could still play. I can also use that MapleStory account to play this game. So people if you have an MapleStory account laying somewhere use it for this game!

EDIT: I installed it and wanted to login but got the error 'not a service area'. So even if you have a valid account it still checks your IP-adress :(

Read my Edit. Even if you have an NA account the game will check your IP-adress and still won't allow you to play

There is one quite effective way to play... www.anchorfree.com offers a "Hotspot Shield", which creates a VPN (virtual private network).

 In return for putting a small one inch high ad-bar in your browser (which firefox and adblock plus removes nearly completely) you have an US IP suddenly, works fine to do specific stuff, like play MapleStory US, play Mabinogi, or even buy things on Steam you can't at home because they toss the localized version at you...

 Even after roughly three hours of checking every information on the internet I couldn't find any negative reports about it, besides the banner and the 10 GB / month limitation it seems to have no negative side effects, even CNet suggested it. It's officially made to make surfing on public Wifi hotspots safe, but can easily be used to hide your non-US IP.

 I can only suggest trying it out. It works perfect for me, and even the professionals suggest it, so it can't be that bad... Damn I love Mabinogi =P

I wanna thank you a lot Towyn! You did some good researching and this might help out all of the Europan players (with an NA account) who wanna try out Mabinogi. I'm currently working but when I have some time off I'm gonna try your idea. I'll post my findings here within let's say 72 hours

I think using wireless lan, even at home, is a requirement for it to work. I am not sure if you can get it to work on a cable connection. If you have the possibility to use Wifi, do it... then you can use that program easily.

so i sugest to launch s REAL privete server

in other words dl teh china /korean/whatever. version of teh game and use their server by copying it into teh american version.

u basicaly play a translated version of teh game...

Yeah, it doesn't seem to work at all anymore... sadly. You could even use it to buy cheaper or not available games on steam (if a publisher decides not to publish a game worldwide, or if it's a censored version in some countries). Cause Steam believed you are in USA if you used the program... doesn't seem to work at all anymore though, I can't run mabinogi either now.
