To the OP, interesting claim although I do not think i can agree with it. AOC is a success, population wise. The game has received good reviews from many gaming sites and it is still in it's infancy. I know there is a growing trend There isn't anything wrong with that method, it just has limited range on

Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporware "Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product." |

You mean Tortage got good reviews. Apparently the reviewers didn't see or negelcted to mention beyond that point. Will the game be f2p ? Absolutely not. They will continue to charge people 15 a month. |

just because you want it to be f2p, doesn't mean it will be. i'm sure someone posted what i just said before... but i'd like to clarify things with logic. Let's stop praying for someone to save us and start saving ourselves. |

You are wrong. Even if AoC was F2P, I wouldn't play it. The crafting system is the absolute worst of any AAA game I've seen. I am embarrassed for Funcom that they'd even include there crafting and gathering system at launch. It is HORRID. Combine that with the Age of Clonan model with all the instances and zone cloning to control population and it isn't the game for me. It is a great game. It isn't an MMORPG. Other than the first free month, I won't be giving the game any more of my time.

Yeah I don't think it will be f2p any time soon. Funcom put way to much money into it and there are many games that people thought would die are still going strong and are p2p. I haven't played the game myself but I was interested in the game but I heard its heavily instanced. If I want that Id just go back to playing DDO cuz it makes since in that game, cuz when I used to play the pnp game we did fast travel a lot. |

Shannia you keep saying it is not an MMORPG. MMORPG
Massively - Yes (The 200 people I run past in each zone who can freely attack me while i quest confirms this) Mulitiplayer - Yes Online - Yes Role Playing Game - Yes If they turned off the mulitple instances off would that all of a sudden make in a MMORPG? Is that the defining difference? The multiple instances is one of the best things about this game, no competing for spawn, you can switch instances if you are getting harrassed. Open up your mind to a new idea once in a while. This is not guild wars, in guild wars you can not quest and play openly, that game is pure private/group instance. It is a very big difference. Guild wars also uses a different funding model, it makes you pay for all new content in the form of expansions where all new content in conan is coming included in the subscription. Stop posting troll rubbish.
