I played both, more Rohan than Requiem and I love Rohan but the grind is ridiculous. Is REquiem less of a grind? Im not a quester, I lie to grind but the grind cant be SUPER crazy. Im talking 10,000+ mobs per level, THAT is crazy. Is requiem that bad?

What does Reqiuem have to offer for late game?

Is group XP good?

Grind in Requiem isn't that bad, as a closed beta tester after level 20 you had to grind.  In Open Beta they raised to 200% exp, and on release premium will be like 225% exp.  From my experience in closed beta, the grinding was pretty easy if you learned how to.  When you group there is no real exp boost, but you can take on harder monsters.  Granted if the monster is 4 levels above you, you will lose exp; but they included harder at level monsters which is nice for a good 300%-400% exp then normal.  It takes about the same time to reach max level as it does in WoW by questing or monster grinding.

Unfortunetly, the end-game isn't anything real engaging like Faction Wars or Guild Wars.  PVP is pretty much restricted to a form of battlegrounds except in Open PVP servers.

Whats the item system like? One othing I loved in Rohan is that you could forge items and have a lot of stats on them if yoyu got lucky and succeeded. Does Requiem have any crafting or upgrading? How many qualities of items are in Requiem (Like normal, rare, unique, set, ect?)

Are bosses in this game soloable or more group based?

Requiem FTW!  I don't know what the cash shop in requiem will look like...but Rohan one simply unbalances the game by A LOT, plus there is already a major issue with botting in Rohan. The grind in requiem currently seems very nice, since the level cap is not "very high" compared to Rohan plus you level faster in Requiem and the grind is less painful plus the dungeons are way better in requiem.

I've played Rohan jp and tried Rohan inter just to check out the version and uninstalled the game within 3 days. Requiem seems by far way better, but it lacks high content tho it will get better with the time.

Requiem for the high end in this version is unknown atm, just because the OB didn't have the whole content and nobody knows what the release will have atm, but the asian version doesn't look bad at all...from my point of view it will be the best F2P this year as long as you like this kind of mmorpg.

Edit : there is a nice upgrading system, from my point of view less painfull to do than Rohan one, weapon/armor has slots and you can make the weapons glow.

About bosses...they are not soloable in Requiem, at least the true bosses not just nightmare mobs :P and there are raids which means you need a good amount of people to get down a boss.

Item grades...you have: Etc, Ordinary, Supernus, Rare and Unique if im not wrong. There are sets aswell.

So far i like Requiem and it looks promising at least to play it while waiting for some P2P release.

Requiem does have crafting and it is quite complicated, not quite as complicated as something like EQ2 but pretty good for a free game. Crafting is very important in Requiem.

There are a bunch of different levels of items. It does have all the examples you listed.

There are some world bosses and some instance bosses that take like 20 or more to kill.

I quit Rohan when at level 20 I had my M.KIll counter up to 100 and I was still getting just over 1% exp from mobs at or near level.

Requiem has no crafting skills. None. You can upgrade items, but there is no crafting skill involved.  A crafting skill is a trade skill that a character aquires, like any other skill, and advances through use.

Requiem's item upgrade system is a feature of the game that depends on random chance. A cash shop will be available in the release and will likely have items that increase probability of upgrade success.

Read Requiem's wiki and look in the game Mechanics section for "compounding and reinforcing items" if you wish to learn more about the upgrade system.

As for soloing bosses - some can be soloed if your character is significantly higher level than the area is designed for.  Others like the Giant Amonite requires a party of 24. [Nice pictures from the final night of open beta.]

I must to say Requiem. I have played both and Requiem is better than Rohan (in graphs, combat system, quest and xp).

Just try it...

hmm requiem or rohan, i would say requiem

although its like asking what early 1990 hyundai is classyer

rohan is a very boring game and requiem is missing a lot of elements that would make it fun, and tons of bugs/gameplay issues

so whichever game ou choose im sure you wont be with it long
