I know some of the CE info has already been talked about and some info is in the New letter describing the program but I have a question.

I payed for the CE online from Gamestop and recieved my CE codes via email.  When I entered the beta access code in the promotional code spot it reads "The code is invalid" every time I try to enter it.

Is this because its too early for the beta and the website isn't ready to acept the codes, or did Gamestop give me a BS code?

The newsletter says you can enter the CE beta code and wait for news regarding the open beta.

It appears to me the problem is on Gamestops' end.

 If Anyone with the same problem or knowledge in this area can reply with some info I'd appreciate it.

3. Once you have entered your code into the Beta Center you will receive future emails alerting you as to when Open Beta begins. These emails will contain instructions on how to access the Open Beta and download the game files.

 

I read this in the news letter and was under the impression based on the 2nd line you can enter the code now.

If it says invalid chances are you got a bad code. I preordered my CE version of the game from Amazon.com and once I put in the code into my account I got a section that listed the Amazon.com preorder. I'd go back to Gamestop and have them correct the problem.

This is one of the reasons I don't like to do business with Gamestop/EBgames. To many problems from them.

Truth is only the mass acceptance of an opinion.

Look on the main beta page of WAR and after you log in go to the Promotional Codes and Associations area.  In this area look under Current Associations.  If that area shows your pre-order info the code worked.  If not, get them to give you another code, if you can hopefully.

   When punching in the code, remember to put the dashes in. I made that mistake a few times.

Why So Serious?

Double check that your only entering the OB code..the other are for the actual live account system.  There was also an issue where one company's set of codes were mixed up so try swapping them around.

I actually am glad I got my pre-order from gamestop.  All I had to do was throw down 5 bucks on the CE to get into open beta.  I am not actually going to buy the CE cause your spending an extra 20-30 dollars on junk.

Just Pre-Order the CE and then buy the regular edition.

Thanks for all the replies,  I figured out the problem with the open beta code.

I had to type in the code manually instead of the copy and paste method, for whatever reason the code read invalid until I typed it in.

The beta login site updated my promotional code info so I'm all set.

Thanks again for the suggestions and replies.
