Are there any MMO's out there right now that can rival WoW's raiding. I know FFXI has raiding but it isn't instanced and can be somewhat of a clust-f*ck depending on the time. I tried LOTRO, but got bored with the slow gameplay. I'd be willing to get back into it if there is some end-game raiding to look forward to, but I heard it isn't all that deep. I am looking for a game with some depth in its end-game raiding. Is there anything out there that can match that of WoW?

Thanks for the help and input.

What do you mean "depth to raiding"?

EQ2 has a vast array of end dungeons you can raid.

Gamers who use RMT are like athletes who use steroids.

Since when does raiding have depth?

When it offers something more than just grinding/questing. Whats the point of being max level if your doing the same things you did while leveling.

Why don't you just play WoW then?

But for me, hell I wouldn't even want any MMORPG I play matches WoW's raiding, scheduled working hours every day in a never changing and zero interaction with the outdoor instance farming trash and old bosses every week, please, rather just kill me.

--------------------------------------------------
MMO played:
DragonRaja
Dungeons & Dragons Online
Lineage
Lineage 2
Tibia
Ultima Online
Warhammer Online
World of Warcraft

MMO tried:
Dungeon Runners
EverQuest
Exteel
Lord of the Rings Online
Ragnarok Online
Requiem
Runescape
The 4th Coming

and some other Chinese/Korean or beta MMOs

Isn't WoWs raiding just grinding ? It was to me when I did it. There was no depth to it at all. Just farm an instance of its loot for everyone so you can move on to the next instance to farm it and so on and so on. For me the fun in raiding was being on vent with good friends laughing and making fun of each other

I think it is time to summon the Lineage 2 card

I don't know who coppied what from whom but i know Lineage was there before WoW and it has a lot of features WoW has.

But as time passed WoW could afford to fix up their game and even add content to such a degree it surpassed Lineage 2.

So WoW started off by copying the same Korean MMO model, adapted to western markets and a flawless publishing company which is renouned for it's releases. The massive amounts of people flocking and squeezing in to WoW brought enuogh resources to allow the developers to quickly hire more personal to fix the bugs in a very short amount of time and add more content on a regular basis.

Now Lineage 2 one of the 1st MMO's which had the common Korean MMO system and which has been copied and pasted on every Asian release , is copying stuff from WoW because they are lacking ideas.

For instance the last Lineage 2 expansion, if you look at the Radar you won't tell a diffrence between WoW and L2, i currently don't play any of the 2 games but it just shows how far WoW went and how much it caught up with other MMO's since it's release.

First, WoW does not really have that deep of raid content.  It is not bad, don't get me wrong, but if you want real raiding then EQ1 & 2 have far better raid content.  FFX1 may not have been instanced, but the content as a whole was pretty damn good.

Honestly though, if you think WoW raiding was the best, then you really need to try some other games.  I think you would be surprised to see how well other games did not only PvE raids, but PvP raids too.
