I am interested in how the AoC MMO will trend...If you have an opinion on AoC, please provide the following: If you think AoC will trend towards the AWESOME title, vote awesome and list 3 reasons (by priority) that will make it awesome. If you think AoC will trend towards the FAIL title, vote fail, and list 3 reasons (by priority) that will cause AoC to fail.
I will tally the results and provide an unofficial report later on. Some posts will also be quoted. FYI: I don't have a win/loss opinion on Age of Conan. Basically, I'm holding off playing it for a bit until I see the trend. Edit: Here are examples I am looking for: AWESOME: 1. Will keep a reliable player base of 150K 2. Will maintain high levels of graphics while adding new content. 3. Will be able to raise the number of people in instances without lagging.
FAIL: 1. Will lost most of their subscribers. 2. Will be unable to remove gold-spammers and exploiters. 3. Will never have good Customer Service.

I think AoC did exactly what Funcom wanted the game to do. So i would have to say the game isnt a failure, nor do i see the servers being shut down for several years. I guess im saying is the poll even necessary? |

It's got more positives than negatives but not by much. So it's not awesome but not a failure either...sooo...? |

It's not a bad game but I'm soooo bored of the same old mmorpgs and AOC takes a step back rather than a step forward. |

I voted FAIL. 1-Too linear 2-WOW & GW clone. 3-Boring loot system leading to poor economy. In conclusion, AOC is just plain boring. |

Couldn't vote, the game is neither awesome (no game ever is) nor fails (yes, some do of course) but has various pluses and minuses for me. Some of the other polls were broken down much better, this one just... fails.

I appreciate your responses. Please note, I'm not trying determine if the game is a failure or a success. I really wanted to know how you think it will trend. For example, one of you mentioned that it's going exactly as FunCom expected it to. Well, by that account, it would be trending towards "Awesome". As well, I'm interested in some reasons why you think it will trend that way. I'll edit the original post to make certain it is clear...and sorry for the confusion. |
