So i have tried playing EVE a few times, and i really enjoy the game. however, i always get kind of lost while looking at the skills and ships. I first started at the soldier school, and i enjoyed it for a while, but i have never been big on DPS or tanking in games. I really enjoy being group support. So i looked at a few more and there was nothing that really stood out to me. Any experienced players have any suggestions? Would be greatly appreciated. |

Support roles are pretty much just for big fleet engagements. Even then they are few and far between. You can always go the trade or mining route. Mining is fulfilling to a degree. |

(And, by the way, you will be the ones getting all the fame after the engagement for saving your fleetmates. I have never seen anyone not thanking the logistic pilots..) |

also tackle, either as an intercepter, interdicter or heavy interdicter are all very very good support rolls. Again the dps pilots love it when the target actualy gets blown up instead of flying away. And electronic warfare is loved as support but loathed in an opponent. the falcon (caldari recon) is one of the most whined about ships in the game. A rapier (minnie recon) is also bloody useful to have on your side due to the long range webs, again the dps folks get to hit, when they wouldn't before against speed tanked ships. |
