Check the forum if you want to see how existing subscribers reacts to this. Here's one thread, it's not the only one: http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?&topic_id=418996 (the first posts are from before ppl realised what this Living Leagacy was about, skip to page 4 or 5, that's where the reactions starts) If they wanted to attract new players, they should have directed this campaign towards ppl who never played the game before. But they are giving free stuff to those who played and left instead. It's likely that most of those who plays the 60 days, won't subscribe after the time is up. Combine this with all those who threathens to leave EQ2 in anger, and I wouldn't be surprised if the subscriber numbers in August/September will be lower than they are today. |

do not panic. Downloader told me smt about 30 hours, but reality was around 1 hour 30 minutes at 20Mb line..
But, i know why SOE did this. When ive logged my character, Freeport city @ Runnyeye was simply empty. Only whos yet playing this game are hardcore raiders and "trial" newbies? |

Its rare for ppl to just be sitting around the cities like in WOW. Even on high Pop servers theres almost no one sitting in the city jump around in circles because they are bored. Also depending on the time you log in plays a role on how many ppl are on.... most if not all the ppl i know in EQ2 work. _________________________________________________________________________________________ |

I'm a returning Vet (EQI and EQII) and have to admit I'm quite impressed. EQII has really come a long way and the changes really do make the game far more appealing. Its a shame more people aren't aware (newer players to MMO's) of EQII. I'm glad that SOE has created this promotion.

YA, 60 days of free play for us returning players...vets pissed that they don't get benefits...and meantime, we still have the same problem. What is that, you might say? Well, we got all these people coming back and none of us know which server to go to, and even if we get an idea here and there, it just spreads us out. WE NEED ONE SERVER TO FLOCK TO, so that the experience is a good one. I logged onto EQ and EQ2 ran into like 1 or 2 people over 10 levels, bah. |

Originally posted by Ruakh I'd suggest to pick up any higher populate server to play than light, that way you wont have problems if you feel like jumping in some PvP action or even finding peeps to pair up if PvE is your thingy! Nagafen (PvP) and Antonia Bayle (PvE) are the most populated US realms. |

I haven't played in about a year and a half, had a 36 templar, but sucked for solo. Whats a good solo class to try out this time ?
Also: Sweet ass deal.

I've been playing steadily but let my sub run dry for a month so I could switch back to play City of Heroes a bit. Getting tired of CoH already, and I come here and see this. My EQ2 account ran out on June 6, so of course the game tells me I have no account. I look on SOE's account info page and it shows 54 days like for everyone else, but the account is Pending. It seems you had to be unsubscribed exactly on April 30th to get the free time. Long time players are indeed screwed over. I was going to re-up until I saw all this and realized I might get some free time, and now that I see I'm omitted due to bueacracy I'm thinking I won't re-up at all. |

They are cheaper to equip plus they have run buffs and portals. They are more common though, so are not quite as desired for endgame. |

don't have any of my original CD's so I downloaded the trial to take advantage of this and logged in with my old account. Sure enough it works. Only 1 question: How do I get the free expansion content? Or will it just patch down automatically (or has it already)? |
