Stargate Worlds

It'd be nice to play a game once again that is more sandbox like old school SWG, where you can roam around and do a bunch of different things how you like, instead of a hold-your-hand you know what's coming next treadmill game where you have to follow the story from the show / movie like post-NGE SWG became.

It's always more fun when the players create the atmosphere on the server rather than the devs.

Absolutely agreed. I liked in old swg where you could pretty much do what you wanted. Obviously, there were things about it that needed changing, things that needed to be added, but overall it was a truly sandbox game. You had many decisions to make when thinking about what to do. I want a game like that again, without being restricted to certain areas because of "level" (I know it was hard to fight on Endor and such in the beginning, but didn't take long to get to that point), and linear questing.

game will be a bit like Tabula rasa is so if you want to se how the game will sorta be go play the trial tabula rasa kicks ass tho if you want a game like swg this isint it

Remember, these type of people predicted AoC was going to be the greatest game ever created!

Just walk away now, this will be story based leveling, the action is at endgame as in RvR type of battles between Evil and Good.

Tabula rasa has ALOT of bugs because of the gameplay style, I hope these guys do a better job.

Well techniquallly AOC is the best created so far going by rating.

SGW is not going to be a sandbox type game.  The lead designer has already confirmed that is is story driven leading up to max lvl for end game content.  I posted a link on another thread here that is to the official forums where he answers a bunch of questions.

Please keep you SWG/CU/NGE crap out of SGW.
