I played Vanguard back in beta and right after release, but the bugs and whatnot turned me away. I saw that they reactivated old accounts so I downloaded the game via the station launcher. The problem is that when I start up the game the screen goes white with smears of different colors mixxed in. I can hear the sound perfectly, but the screen is all messed up. The game ran fine back then, and I don't know what's up now. Anyone else have this problem or know of a way to fix it? |

I would call this a mixed blessing. The game sucks. One suggestion, if the game is set to auto log in try typing /flush. That will flush the video cash. I think you can set auto log in from the launch pad. But like I said, the game isn’t any better than back in beta.

So the game boots up like that twice, and then the 3rd time it boots up fine. I get in and realize how lame the game is still. Everyone looks basically the same and Khal is still laggy as hell. Oh well, so much for one more try. |

Strange alot of poeple say this game has gotten better, though most my guild that was playign VG say their having more fun right now in AoC. Thanks for the flush card advice. Will try it again when theres a free trial.

More than once when I did voice my opinion on their behavior, there was no reply so I assume they just put me on ignore. Anyway, I'm glad I tried Vanguard again because when I did I found out that my old EQ2 account has 2 months free on it because of the promo SOE is doing. I've played EQ2 almost everyday since reinstalling. I don't think Vanguard is going to make a come back. I rolled a new character and was let down when one of the first quests in Tanvu was bugged. It's the questline that brings you to another area, and apparently it's been bugged for awhile. The performance is alot better... too bad it doesn't make the game fun. |
