Age of Conan

 I just cant stop playing it. Its annoying to get to work. Right now Im playing a Priest of Mitra level 40. My war mammoth was just awesome to mount and ride. Cant wait to ride him in a siege :)

If you havent tried out the game yet then shame on you. Do NOT listen to the hate on these boards. Some people never seem to stop.

I consider Conan the worst MMORPG ever published.

Because not ONE thing really works.

Not even its famous graphics because of the pathetic low number of players in each zone/copy AND the very low quality of the interface (bag items) and UI.

The rest is ALL broken: PvP combat, PVE dungeons, PVE middle and end game, professions, gathering,

You name ANYTHING a MMORPG could have a problem with ...and Conan has it.

...HOW desperate most players are to STILL wanting to enjoy this Age of Crap.....

Oh wait...it's only desperate if you enjoy what you are doing. I suppose your constant dedication to the game (negative dedication but dedication nonetheless), is better because....mhhh. Yeah...why?

Nice screenshots.  Especially the one with Avery fighting the big guy.

What I'm trying to say is that with all this high-detail graphics stuff, these people are neglecting the actual game. They've spent so much time and effort (and probably money) to make something flashy and impresive, only to forget to make the game WORK.

It is my belief that they spend so much time and effort to make these impressive graphics that the game couldn't work the way it was initially designed.  Function has once again taken a back seat to form.

Even if gameplay were to be fixed to a state of "workingness", I cannot get over the craptastic art direction (graphics).

Yep oddly enough I'm with the graphic "haters". Just as someone above me stated the more real they're trying to make the game look, the more fake it becomes. The characters looks plastic, and do not seem to belong in the world, a world which just comes out as really dead and again, plastic. The objects in the world doesn't seem to actually be in the same world either, they do not "float" together. It's a world of different layers, so to speak.

However, these are just matters of aesthetics and personal like, obviously the OP seems to love the gfx, while I simply cannot stand wannabe realism graphics. Each to his own. That the game is terrible in the actual gameplay aspect is a whole different issue though ^^.

Oh please, the art isn't that bad, and neither is it plastic....same shit was said about EQ2 and Vanguard too.  Valid complaints about the unfinished content i can agree with, but the graphics and art is subjective.

Btw, what level were you Avery and what class? I know that Chef was elite, and i think the villas scale with levels, but just not sure by how much.
