Trough the time ppl has been more casual,Wow was a good system but now people looking for new games,Aion maybe looks like a grind korean mmo because is ncsoft,but GW,CoH,L2 too and they are different game styles. But Aion will be the best option for the next generation,it's a transition game imo.

I hope that WAR ,AoC and more game works fine for the competitive of MMORPG in this times.

Maybe AIon will be hyped (no more than WAR or AoC)or not it's perfect but aion studios don't want a grind game because nowdays nobody wants it on P2P.

In 2020 maybe you will see the perfect game that doesn't look like WoW or whatever korean game.While we have this^^

Ok I've read about it watched all the Video clips there are out there and I still think it looks like all the other Korean grinder's , I play ( or have played) all the major Mmo's out there and this just does'nt look like its going to cut the mustard... I'm not a hater or anything and I always hope any new Mmo will do well and I'll probably even try Aion at some point, its just my opinion at the moment thats all .

Because you're basing your opinion on an old, outdated stereotype. Developers have stated multiple times that they have tried to avoided number grinding as much as possible, and they are looking to appeal to a casual audience.

I'd just like to touch on a few topics in this thread if i may

First, all of you saying this is a "clone of XXXXXX" need to think before you speak.  You cant make a game these days without it having features that another game has already done.  Aion will have it's own unique features, as well as many that have already been done.  Every game has some unique features that make it great, and to think there will be a unique game that nobody has ever done before is just naive in my opinion. 

Second, and I realize this isn't a WoW bashing thread and I apologize in advance.  One of the main reasons WoW did so well at launch is mostly do to it's already ginormous fan base.  Millions of people played the Warcraft games, myself included.  So it's natural for fans to be excited over an MMO based on their favorite game.  I guarantee that is a decent Star Wars MMO is developed, it would do just as well, if not better than WoW (Nothing against SWG, just didn't float my boat).  Aion has no such fan base simply because of the fact that it is a new unique experience.  And you cant tell me that a good percentage of that 11m players aren't box accounts and gold farmers.  I played WoW from release until just a few months ago, and it is a great game, I just got bored and its time for a change for me.  Yes, the expansion is coming out, but if you think about it, its just new "old stuff".

And i think finally, all you people bashing the game that YOU HAVE NOT PLAYED YET.  Find a new hobby, seriously.  Most of the people in this forum are here because they want to play Aion and your blabbing and hatecraft isn't going to deter us form wanting to play this game, so give it a rest.  At least wait and play the game before you throw around falsities and misinformation.

In conclusion, do I think Aion will be the next great MMORPG??  No I don't, but that is not to say that it wont be a great MMORPG and I look forward to joining the many other waiting fans in the game.

true l2 have done large piece map.. but not as big compare with wow.  well.. personally i don't really like wow neither.. but i must say wow have done something no other company have done before when they first release..........

ok a little of topic but hey i had to.

at release wow had 2 maps. and it now has 3 maps and basicly all the content is instanced.

Lineage2 has 1 map.

The animation has attracted me to the game to but I'm hoping that more people will start out in the game because then the gaming community will grow to a good size quickly so its easier to run instances, participate in auctions, etc. To me, more people=more fun.

I think aion is going to be an awesome game. I just hope you can lvl quickly in the game.  thats one thing AOC did perfect, you can lvl very quickly. But Aion graphics are great and the fighting looks interesting.
