There are stat bonuses to almost every piece of armor but they are so minimal they don't do anything. Yay for the .2 increase to stuffs....
EDIT: Alright so I'm wrong about run speed. 8% isn't to bad. My level 5 armor gave me 5% out of combat. If you can add the 8% and it doesn't void it or anything then that would be nice... |

Originally posted by Erhun I also want my money back, its a faulty product. If Funcom offered a full refund service for whoever claims a refund for unstatisfication, then I would believe they didn't release a faulty game because they were having fiancial pressures. |

Here is my reasons then: No game I have played has been that terrible. (15 years of gaming) 15 years dont mean shit, it depends on what STYLE of games you been playing. Never before have I seen a game released that has had so little content as AoC. What was your highest level? I have yet to see a game so hyped before besides WoW. WoW didn't flop on itself within the first 2 weeks and I keep hearing how bad it was at launch. (I do not play WoW and am not a fan of WoW) WoW was a sleeper around its time, EQ2 was released a month or two prior to WoW I believe. WoW was not hyped until 5 months into the game. It's completely broken and not even worth playing for at least another year which I doubt it will even be fixed by then. Your personally bias opinion of 15 years of gaming. And get yourself a new computer with a better graphic card. Never before has a game made me want to torture myself from playing it. I assume you only got to level 17, cause no ones plays a game that tortures them to level 30. That good enough or would some people like more? So I would have to say your response is definetly SKIDDISH.. |

EDIT: And if you really want to know what types of games I have been playing for the past 15 years. It's everything except sports and puzzle games and I have even played those just only 2-3 of each so I don't consider it anything worthile. As for my computer. It can play the game just fine. I'm an IT major. I know what I talk about and was accepted to Full Sail for video game development.
IF I DO NOT KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT I EITHER A. FIX MYSELF. B. APOLOGIZE. OR C. DON'T SAY IT AT ALL. Notice that's true by READING THE FULL THREAD. Moron. |

Originally posted by observerVG in its currant form plays less buggy than AOC by a mile. The VG of 16 months ago is not the same as it was 6 months ago and definitely not today. VG has many people coming from aoc everyday because the pcs they built for AOC can run VG very well. You reasoning is stale and boring now because Vanguard is actually very bug free and runs great plus its turning into a very good mmorpg, the last of its kind. Vast open world with every conceivable thing you could want in a mmorpg with eq1 type game play. You might have had a bad experience with it when it first released or even 6 months ago but now, today its very playable and people are joining everyday. Originally posted by MurdusOo oo oo! I wanna try this challenge. 15 things. ok.
1. Misinformed Early Access promotion. 2. No direct X 10 like advertised 3. combo system that doesn't work correctly for PvP. great in PvE. (This is a main feature of the game) 4. Gathering certain materials are bugged. 5. Perma debuff bug. 6. Bald Herald of Xotli with green blood bug. 7. No PvP levels like advertised. 8. Hardly any quest between lvl 45 - 60. 9. Characters snag on terrain that sometimes does not make sense. The worst are right by the main roads where a player will snag on nothing. 10. Twitching breast on all woman graphic bug. 11. You cannot drown. (at least my bear shaman cant) 12. Double buffs on healers. 13. Messed up icons on all classes that can buff. Double icons shown. 14. Some inventory items do not stack and can be used infinately over and over as they take up more and more space in inventory. 15. Choppy gameplay on computers that meet the requirements for smooth gameplay. (It seems duo core porccessors chug on this game more than old fashioned single core pentiums) 16. Bad class balancing, especially for lower level PvP. Overpowered healer classes with insane damage. 1 shot skills, with defeats the prupose of the "skill" based feature of the game. 17. Horrible grouping interface that leaves players spending most of their time trying to find each other than getting task done. It's getting hard to think of stuff now. 18. Tons of bugged quest after tortage island. 19. Video options that reset, which in turns chugs your computer more and more when you change them. 20. Quest monsters have loot which leads to farming and competition for the mobs as people camp the boss spawns. (no MMO should have this anymore) 21. Why can't I consistantly see how many Necro pet poitns I have? 22. horrible spell and talent descriptions that force players to make bad choices just to see how well spells work. Some spells don't do like their descriptions say. Example: Untamed Regeneration.
I hink I'm done for now.

Originally posted by Inzra Yea I got 2 weeks out of it, so I'm not too bitter. If I had never tried it for myself, I would have always wondered what it was like. Now it just joins the other MMORPG's that I will never play again in my dusty computer cabinet. I've bought worse games than this one, that's for sure. I think the worst game I ever bought was Unreal 2 : The Awakening, I couldnt play that game longer than 15 minutes, and I don't even know why. I just hated it for no apparent reason. |

Since the OP posted such a great post. I just wanted to add to it. No one cares the game is way better then alot of S--T that has come out. I like the game along with alot of others playing it. So again no one cares, and no you cant have your money back . |

I really wish you people would read the entire thread before posting because you are just making yourselves look like absolute morons. I've played a lot of games. MMO wise, not as many as a lot of people. My MMO list is still a decent size though. All games wise. It's a very large list. My friend has a collection of NES and SNES games. Almost every single one ever released minus a few. My collection far outdoes his...before I sold it all :D |

OK, so the OP doesn't care for the game & for questionable reasons thinks it is the worst game he/she/it has played in 15 years. I quite like the game, it isn't perfect by a long margin but it definitely has potential & Funcom seem to be keen to improve things. So to get to the obvious question for all the nay-sayers that have actually tried the game. Can I have your stuff? If you can't "Have your cake & eat it too", then how can "The proof of the pudding be in the eating"? |

Originally posted by Erhun The game has some flaws and definitely needs work, but I honestly wonder if you even gave the game a fair shake. None of those points are valid to the game, except maybe from a very subjective, negative view point. The game has a learning curve, but once you learn it the content is pretty newb friendly. There are some major differences in the way the classes play, there are some classes I absolutely hate and some I love. No one should judge the game before sampling a few classes to at least level 28. Unfortunately, it IS possible with some classes to gimp yourself with "bad" feat choices. Read the class forums and look for some advice on a leveling build. There are "leveling walls" in certain leveling ranges where lack of content / buggy content requires some serious grinding to progress through those levels. If you aren't very patient and don't enjoy playing alts, probably want to wait and see how things fill out over the next six months. Also, the "free for all" PvP servers can be extremely frustrating. Unless you are really down for some serious challenges, it's probably best not to compound on the learning curve and other frustrations by adding a PvP server to the mix. The game is playable and I am having fun doing so, but it is incomplete. Classes will see a lot of rebalancing, a lot of bugs will be fixed and a lot of new content will have to make it in before the game starts to feel complete. If you can't stand the rough edges, wait six months then check up on the game. I'm still on the look out for another all around spectacular MMORPG. Can I see myself leaving AoC for another game? Definitely. However, if the next round of promising titles should be duds, I can see that this game could be one of the top choices in the market once it's fixed up.
