Sorry, cant agree with that.

LOTRO affected WOW, all major releases will do. But thats natural, especially in the first period of release.

WOW will stand the test of time and the lich king will affect all the other games ofr a time.

Warhammer Offline: Age of Registration

Nice point Jessics and that is what I think people seem to want these days, a fast-food type mmo. As for me I want atmospere. I want awesome views and hidden paths to explore. I want great sound and epic battles. If in such an enviroment you find something lacking then try roleplaying. An mmo gives you a world to play in and adventure and if you rush through it you might miss the point, as Bruce Lee once said, "Don't stare at the finger or you miss all that heavenly glory"

Not to the degree AoC has...entire guilds have left WoW for AoC and they aren't coming back..they may go to WAR, but they will not be back as a guild to WoW.  And honestly the positive buzz around WAR says that game will effect WoW subscribers even more. WoW may stand the test of time in a EQ kind of way, but you will see a decrease instead of another Increase in the player base. AoC, Spellborn, WAR, and further out the KOTOR MMO will all feast off the corpse of WoW.

I agree with all your points except being able to state that AoC has affected it to the extent you suggest - its too early.

WOW will steal a lot back with the Lich King pack and a WOW2 will do the same if ever it comes about.

There will always be a hardcore that stay forever ( applaud them) and a travelloing base that will bet bored and more on and/or want to try the shiny new penny.

WOW cant be on top forever, I dont believe anyone could believe so. But AoC, which has had a fantastic launch (hats off to Funcom) still needs some time to mature and to establish whatever its base is going to be.

What's wrong with AoC? It's TSOC.... The.Same.Old.Crap that we continue to buy again and again. You log into health bars and buttons, go on a linear Kill 10 Bunny quests in an instanced, psuedo-single player world until you run out of them, then cancel your account. Stop buying EQ clones people, it's the only reason they're still making crap like this. These games are nothing more than wateredown single player adventure games with chat boxes.

Trying to decipher your post, im guessing English is not your first language?

Lotro is a very indepth and well constructed pve game, arguably the best around right now. The graphics are good, the content is  vast ... it's far more than just a pretty mmo.

If you are waiting on siege warfare as the preverbial golden egg and expecting it to be incredible, you might want to prepare yourself for disappointment. For one thing, it'll be instanced, for another, it might be guild-only content (as in guild v guild, anyone know for sure?). It has never been tested on live servers and as such chances are once released it'll be buggy while they get through the initial teething troubles.

Guessing once it's implemented, you might have to wait a while before it's playable.

It might be incredible, but it's best not to get your hopes up.

Actually I think the real problem with AoC is solar flares.

Threads liek this puxxle me to no end.  This is not only a great game but th best selling game in many markets including US and Canaduh.  IF anything it should be "why people like AoC"

We are now recruiting players for our Warhammer Online Guild ( Order side, Casual, Mature, Democratic ).

It's sold well based on hype, previews and the various marketing videos that have been spread during AoC's development. People bought on that hype wanting something different.

Some people are disillusioned with what they ended up getting. They were expecting the next coming of Christ and they didn't get it so they're miffed.
