Ultimate fanbois thread of the year, pre-emtive strike on future whiners who have problems running AoC. LOL - all you have done is highlight the flaws in the design of this game. If the game isn't scalable to a range of systems then it will never be a success. |

AOC has hardly any staying power, I wonder what % of those 400k that have bought the game will be around in a month (or two).

Sorry to say OP but you are wrong , i got CoreDuo 2.4 , 4gb 800mhz patriots , GF8800 GTS , with new installed 64mb windows and newest drivers i still have HUGE problems with running AoC , my friends got similar problems and they got PC similar to mine .

I got a 2 GB ram, 8800 GTS 320 mb (yes, teh weak-one) C2D 2.0 GHz and a Vista home basic. Playing smoothly on High settings with shadows turned off.
My brother has a slightly better PC, and he's playing on maxed out settings 20-30fps. Try installing sp1 ;p
Oh, and btw, don't bump any more old threads... |

My PC doesn't meet the minimum requirements. That is why I don't own the game. I'm working on it though.

I read posts and comments like all the ones above and realize the black hole they represent. No one can stay away from these, we are all pulled in and know there is no way out. Yet we all struggle to justify our own view on the subject. I say we should just accept our eminent demise and enjoy the struggling around us. If you have to go down, go down in a good mood.
