Guys, anyone remembers patch LU13 (i hope its was 13 at least). Something similar might happen with AoC. EQ2 is one of my favorite games and i hope AoC developes. We need some diversity in MMO's and AoC is nicely crafted so far. It just needs more work and probably an infamous LU13.. |

Nice try though to make me look like someone who doesn't know what they are talking about, all because I talked badly about your precious AoC. And yea, ALL of Eq2's players are leaving arent they? Well I wouldn't even know, I haven't played EQ2 in years. I was just comparing the two games at release. The funny thing is I don't like EQ2, and would never play it again.
Next time you try to make someone look stupid, learn a little more about that person first. My character's name is Mercius on the Cimmeria server, search for me and you'll see my level and all that good stuff. Our guild is currently allied with the Hand of Set, who are at war with Avery's guild, the Acolytes. Does this sound like someone who "never got out of Old Tarantia?" |

Different MMORPG game start-up. Same whining. Every MMO i've ever played was far from a flawless start. The content is always thin as you got to the upper levels. Once the game has been going for awhile all the new content will be max level and all the lower levels typically gets neglected. Rule flaws and unbalanced classes at different levels (particularly upper levels) is not new to a start-up MMO. So as always the hyper-active obsessive goes rushing in playing the game like a mad race to max level. Find things here and there sparse on content or bugged and it gets worst as you climb the ladder of levels. At some point, depending on how obssessive compulsive they are they get to a point where they can't take it anymore and go back playing their original favorite game. Of course they have to whine and complain to any one that will listen or any forum that won't ban them. Until if/when the new game works out all the kinks out months later. Than usualy a friend or someone they know is playing it and they convince them to try it again. If they still don't like it, its because the developing company are idiots and it has nothing to do with personal preferences. Because in their juvenile world their opinion is right next the laws of gravity of science fact. But the most annoying. Is if they end up liking the game after the kinks have been worked out than they tell all the newbies that they have been playing the game since day one and have always loved it. |

I guess we played two different games. I started playing it about a week or so after release (to give the initial people time to level out of the starter zones) and I remember coming across a few quests that were bugged, and maybe some graphical glitches. Everything that they claimed to be in the game was in the game when it launched. So yeah, I'd go back and play EQ2 if I had time to play an MMO atm. :) --------------------------------------------- |
