Sometimes I love people, no seriously.

I recently started having an issue where on my villain it was showing hero difficulty levels. Like instead of villainous it would be heroic, and my missions were randomly changing difficulty. One mission the mobs would spawn like they were set for villainous, the next mission it was set at maximum.

I made a post that explained it, gave some background that I had been running on the second to hardest setting since lvl 32. I play a Bots/FF MM so most folks that play a MM know that you get your final upgrade at 32 and you become a death machine, especially with Bots.

I got a reply from a guy that started asking questions I had already answered and fully detailed in my OP. I replied back nicely at first. He replied back again asking questions that had nothing to do with my issue, like what was my level and asking questions that had already been answered. I was a little less nice this time because he didn't need to know my level to know my missions were spawning randomly in difficulty.

The third time I got upset, and I posted this

I was NOT going to keep answering questions that I had answered already if he'd just read the freakin' OP.

Another person came on and tried to explain what he was getting at, and I replied that if he had bothered to read my OP, he (the second poster) wouldn't have needed to have come to defend the other guy. 2 of my posts were later deleted out of the thread. I mean we can't have anyone telling someone to pay freaking attention to what's being said, I mean that would be common sense to pay attention.

I got banned for replying to the second person because I was talking rudely about the first person. 

So I guess the fact that people are so freaking lazy and ass tarded they can't comprehend the written word anymore is cause enough to cry and get someone banned. I think for now on anytime anyone says something I don't like I'm going to report them as well. Especially the stupid morons that ask questions repeatedly here and on the game's forums I like to play when 90% of the time the OP has answered the questions but ass-hats refuse to freaking read the damn posts.

sigh, ah well. Neither here nor there, people are thick and always will be.

I was bored, had to rant. Delete if you want mods. And of course this is just my side, I'm sure someone will come on here and say I'm not telling the whole story and that's fine, I'll just report you for flaming.

They weren't helping, that's the problem, all they were doing was asking questions that had already been answered because they weren't reading the original post. Kind of like what you just did.

Helping would be stating "have you tried restarting the game" which I had done, but didn't state so. That would've been passable.

Helping would be "Have you checked to see if the issue is on other toons?" Which I had done but didn't state so.

Helping would be "Is it like this in all zones, maybe it's just an issue with the current zone?" Which I did check and it's only in St. Martial and Grandville.

But like you did, they didn't bother to comprehend what was typed out in the original post. Questions like the above 3 are considered help, asking questions that have ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED is not help, that's just being stupid and for now on is going to get you reported for harassment/flaming, at least on the CoH forums.

On thesse forums you have to actually do something wrong to get in trouble.

If you had laid out your problem like you did in the OP, most players would have instantly known what bug you were talking about, so it surprises me they didn't.

As for your experiences on the official forums:

Not giving additional information because you yourself don't think it doesn't matter is a bad move imo, it could just matter and it helps other people determine what stats do or don't matter when more people start reporting the same bug. In your case level probably mattered because the villainous/heroic bug didn't change the actual mission difficulty, so most likely you had an old mission from a few levels ago.

Another thing is that many forumposters are indeed lazy (post first, read later) and sometimes rather stupid, but that doesn't mean you should start insulting them. Personally, if I was a mod I would have given you a temp ban for the language you used in the OP. You could also answer in a polite manner that their posts are already answered and if they annoy you that much you can put them on ignore instead (which I advice you do with me, because I can see your next flame already flying my way).

No, didn't have an old mission, in my original post on the official forums I stated they were new missions. So asking my level had no bearing.

Every question that was asked of me was something I had answered except for my level which did not need to be answered because I had stated the missions were new.

I'd copy and paste my post from the official forums if I could but I can't now.  As for as the language I used, I used no foul language, and the only insult I used was his reading comprehension which was stupidly obvious that he DID NOT read my original post.

Although thinking about it, many people do think ass is foul language. Just like showing nudity is horribly evil and wrong, but chopping peoples heads off isn't. Only using the nudity/violence thing as an example.

Anyway, done.

I'll take your word for it that you used more charm there than you have here.

Seeing hero level difficulty for villains is a known bug since i12. It's purely textual and doesn't affect anything.

As for the other "random difficultly" problem, I sincerely doubt that's what's happening. I suspect I do know what's going on, but to clarify I'd have to ask more questions and I see how maturely you handled that last time. So frankly, why bother?

The OP is an asshat... My searchfu is indeed strong and I see his post in the forums... His Attitude was completely uncalled for... Looks like the mods deleted his other 2 said posts in response to Zloth and the 2nd poster. I don't quite get why he is so defensive about that characters lvl... It looks as they they were earnestly trying to assist you with your issue and you copped an attitude with them for simply asking a question they felt was needed to help you.. Which was then explained why the question was asked... which ANSWERED your problem!

Unfortunately 99% of the people in this game jump to conclusions as fast as possible. It happens in game all of the time. However, from my past experiences with the forums, they usually know what they're talking about and at least know how to read a simple post.

You probably just had a run-in with the occasional moron who usually doesn't pop up on those forums (or any other mmo forums (except wow) for that matter). It probably would have been a better idea to say something like "read my OP to answer your questions" but hey, i'd be pissed as well .

Nevertheless, don't portray the "second person" by saying things like "I'll just report you for flaming." because you're just contradicting yourself. 

As for the issue, it's a known problem with the game and i'm sure the devs are working on fixing it for the upcoming patch.

The last reply on the page fully answered this OP's question, I'm not sure if they edited their post to make sense after the fact.  However it seems to me that FryGuy is correct.

Perhaps your problem was you were accepting missions from various level ranges and hence the mobs that were spawning were of different level ranges.

Its a valid point and it makes sence.

As for your complaint with the Difficulty setting, if you had read a few posts on the forums you'd know they are aware of this issue.

I think the answer is chill out and perhaps nothings broken but your perception of the problem?  Maybe the difficulty is reading wrong but the spawns are correct?

Your post did nothing to prove that this answer is not the correct one.
