10 being insanely bugged and 1 being the best a game can be? 4/10 (with forum influence) 2/10 (with my own eyes) i'd say it is a 4, and thats assuming some of the stuff i read here is true, because i do play aoc and i've only seen tiny miniscule bugs, although i do get the occassional slow-down memory leak and i have to restart aoc, but if i have to go from bugs i've personally experienced or encountered, i would say it is a 2, very good on the smooth list as far as my personal gameplay has gone. "Sometimes, things that may or may not be true are the things a man needs to believe in the most. People are basically good. Honor, courage, virtue mean everything. Power and money, money and power mean nothing. Good always triumphs over evil. Love, True Love Never Dies." |

I'd say 2.5/10 where 10 is bad and 1 is perfect. ------ |

The game runs great for me. I get 30+ fps on max settings. My machine is less than a year old, but it I built it for around 800 bucks, so it is far from top of the line... Athlon 5400+, 2 gig DDR ans dual 8600GTs. I haven't seen too many bugs, although in the last few days I have been booted back to the login screen a few times while trying to recall or change maps. Just assorted UI issues other than that.. although I understand that some game features are not implemented or simply not working as intended right now. Overall I'd give it a 3, it does have some level bugginess, but in my experience none of it has been that bad. As a comparison, I would have given LOTRO a 2 at launch, and Vanguard an 8 or 9. I don't think I have ever played an MMO I would rate a 1 on your scale, not that I haven't played other types of games that seemed totally bug-free. |

I'd rate it a 5, which is decent for a newly released MMO.
A lot of content is missing and there are a multitude of issues. None of them are game breaking though, AoC is very playable.
If you are overly sensitive to bugs or a powergamer you should wait a couple months, if you're not you should be fine.

For my level 1-40, using bar from others in this topic (10=bad and 1=best) I think its 2, no major bugs, but I can see some minor bugs (graphical ones especialy). With my sytsem it cant be bugs at all :) Radeon 9800XT 128MB ;) _____________________________ |

Game: 2. I haven't seen any bugs myself and the game runs fine. I would like a better framerate, but I consider that a performance-issue, not a bug. Forums: 4. Forums have had problems, but works fine now, at least for me. |

I've been playing it on a system running Vista 64, and so far, I've had no problems at all. |

At launch, it was probably a 5, but they have thrown down some pretty good patches, and their customer support is on the way up. So I would say a 4 as of today, but it will likely improve to a 3 soon. Funcom is a good company who really strives to make a quality product and keep players interested. I think in the long haul, this game will be a solid title, but it probably won't hit it's stride until a new flavor of the month is released. Anytime a game pushes the envelope in graphics and systems, it's likely to have some major bugs... Fortunately they aren't so bad as to ruin the game. In fact, my major gripe is the lack of content and world size and not bugginess... I hope they have a nice content update as soon as the launch has stabilized!! Elite poster by 82 |

In my experiences so far the game is not that buggy at all. Yes there are some technical issues to be sorted out , some quests were not working but really it just needs some extra polish. Best adivce I can give is try not to play the game on a low profile card, you will be messing with the video settings constantly to improve fps rate. Other than that the game is just tons of fun to play especially when you group up for dungeon quests. |

If you go to the questgiver and obtain the item you can finish the quest. 3) The recipe book mess - Can be fixed by relogging. Very annoying but well... 4) The group icons ahve a very short distance on the map until they vanish. Really annoying. 5) The client sometimes forgets what localization i selected. This only hurts EU players. |

Ok let's keep it real here people, there are a ton of bugs. If you haven't seen them yet you are either at a low level or just haven't gone to buggy places yet. I've posted about a few in other posts, look up my profile real quick to see some of my examples. Saying that there are no bugs is ludicrous. Ok what the hell, I'll quickly post some bugs in a short manner.
1.Charge skill for guardians is, and has always been bugged. You'll miss 90% of the time with it when the target moves. And randomly get teleported when you use it. 2. The new, ever annoying mez bug. This one is a game breaker, at least for me. 3.Character sheathing your weapon in the middle of combat, and then a few seconds later unsheathing your weapon. 4. Some places, like the Pyramid in Stygia, are so completely broken that it's almost at the point of ridiculousness. 5. Mobs getting bugged out a lot. 6. Minimap errors, wrong quest location indicators.
There's tons of bugs, but you would never know it from the first 20 levels. It seems that those are the only levels that got a lot of attention, probably to give people a good first impression of the game. The game is obviously unfinished. If some of these bugs aren't fixed before the 21st, there's no way in hell I'll keep playing. |
