Despite the negativity on these boards (which seems like a LOT), AoC is getting huge news and rave reviews! It just reach the #1 most popular game dethroning GTA4 in Europe.. http://pc.ign.com/articles/878/878061p1.html

Cool. Doesn't matter what game it is though, the game could be heaven on the PC... forums will always be full of hate and negativity because it is the whiners/attention seekers who post the most. |

Funcom does definetly know how to advertise.. Good Job on their part.. Anyways, its good to see a different company making money instead of the ones we are all so used to.. They may not keep everyone happy that plays their product, but they sure do have enough to keep it going for now. But you know this thread is going to exceed 50 posts.. lol |

Yes the extraordinay hype made many people buy it. Will be itneresting to see how many are still playing after free month. |

That is based on teh number of products sold. I bought it and the game is horrid. Wait to see how many active subscribers there are in a month then we can see teh real outcome. |

I think though, that AoC is going to somewhat flop here in the US, but will be a huge success in Europe. From what I hear, the devs are very active with their players over there. |

Many of the MMOS that have come out recently more then 95% of teh current MMO player has bought them the day they came out cause everyone is looking for teh next best thng. Your also talking about europe which is the home base for Funcom. Sales don't count for shit in the MMO market it's the number of accounts still active after a month. Here is a list DDO, Lineage 2, City of heroes...and many more but don't feel like entertaining a monkey. Ask anyone on AOC if they will be around after teh free month most will say no just killing time. <modedit> |

These are only European markets by the way, would like to see some North American numbers. Germany
So if we added GTAIV on both consoles, does AoC still beat them? And do we add AoC Xbox 360 when that launches too? |
