Yeah buddy, it says right in the email "PERMANENTLY SUSPENDED".

What else do you need it to say?

The MMO genre needs innovators. People not afraid to deviate from the "WoW is an ATM machine" mentality and think outside the box to make something truly different and fun. I'm sick of paying $50 for virtual treadmills.

If you want to scroll to page 4 you can see my response before you start using swear words in a reply to me. (Funny how I don't have to use that to get my point across on these boards but others do)

I said if they're innocent they should recieve compensation for the days they couldn't play.  I doubt that will happen but ah well.  I'm also not going to feel sorry for the guilty if they are found such.  Too many games have legit people been burned on for me to have sympathy for the exploiting and gold selling bunch.

Since we don't know who this guild and person is all we have to go on are their actions on this board.  This person aroused my suspicions when making another thread about the same topic on the general discussion. (yeah I can't find it anymore which further makes me wonder)

We don't know what FC did since we won't really have full story unless FC comes out and tells us everything.  So we can't definitively say FC or the accused are pulling one thing one way or another.  If you lean on either side you're still possibly taking part in an inquisition against either side.

Edit:  Took out the swear words in that quote as they don't lend anything to the discussion

Because this game sucks, and isn't worth the CD's they burned them to.

It''s my job to be objective, it''s my right to have an opinion.

While I don't know the details, I will say Funcom is "investigating" all guilds who have completed their Tier 1's.

We completed ours a few days ago, and our leader was told that we would be monitored.

The sad thing is, we're not exploiting. We're a hardcore guild. When you've got 20 level 80's farming money all day (which, at that level, enemies are dropping 40-65 copper each) it doesn't take that long to handle business.

I've seen a few of your members of "The Box", one of the few guilds that aren't full of lame gankers. You'll be missed if you guys have to disband.

True Love Never Dies

Me. The Guild Leader of The ßox, on Deathwisper, just got banned very quickly. Basically, a GM just sent a generic PM about exploiting, and kicked me off without answering my inquiry as to why exactly.

My guild has spent the last week hardcore grinding coin in Keshatta and pooling all coin and resources to me to get our guild city completed with all walls as of just yesterday.

I had over 60 gold in my inventory today, pooled from our guild of nearly 100 people and friends of the guild, all grinding in raids in Keshatta with us. Yet the GM still banned without a specific explanation.

The bottom line here, is that Funcom just banned me, the leader of the guild, because a lot of our enemies on the server petitioned in saying I was exploiting, duping, etcetera, and they probably looked at how far we were with the city and how much gold I still had and believed it.

GG funcom. You said that it's going to be a guild effort to do this. You said that everyone would have to pool their resources to the guild leader and architect (both me) to make the cities / sieging happen. We did that, and you banned the guild leader.

Not surprising. Other people on the server have had their gold purged and bans have been handed out very quickly to anyone with any real pooled progress.

Here's a tip funcom, learn to differentiate between Dupers/Exploiters, and people pooling their endless hours of hard work into one person.

I won't be buying this game again, and you just pissed off about 100+ very vocal people that pooled a lot of resources, time and coin to me. You've also spread a lot of negative publicity about your game for how quickly you ban and  ruin a lot of peoples pooled efforts.

or maybe you did exploit or were exploiting.

Your word against theirs, I still take theirs. I would say you could post the e-mail but I actually don't care that much.

You care enough to post on this thread and try to discredit what Baseline says..

Bottom line is, if this were an isolated incident I can understand the skepticism, but it is not.  A LOT of guild leaders have been wrongfully banned (and gotten their accounts re-activated so I guess that proves guilds can have that much gold legitimately, despite what some of you say).  No one is saying that exploiters shouldn't be banned.  What's being said is the way in which these bans were issued was piss poor.  Why is it alright to ban innocent people if most of the time they are correct?  Why shouldn't they have to investigate before banning?  I'm glad for threads like mine and this one.  As much as they tried, they couldn't just sweep it under rug and were forced to publicly acknowledge it.
