Well even my favorite game ( LoTRO) had a quest shortage from mid 30's to mid 40's at release. Anyway I am glad I am a slow leveler but I have been hearing the same complaint from my more catassing friends. I still have not made it out of Tortage due to the technical problems I was experiencing. |

Originally posted by redelf07nope not me, the game performs fine for me. Open country I play at medium settings as long as I turn shadows off, in dungeons I can go to high with good FPS. The game was crashing at launch from the Tuesday morning patch right up to this afternoon when suddenly for no reason it began working fine again. I think my cat decided he was tired of hearing me cursing Funcom and got a temp job with them as a tech and fixed the game for me. |

Originally posted by Mitnal Almost every MMO period has had problems regardless of which ones you name. Sure they arent all the same but then again everyone complaining about them is complaining beause of 1 problem or another. Given that your particular issue is lack of quests, which I might add some other people dont seem to be having. Yet again you can mention other problems, and again other people will have an opposite response to your statement. Most people are actually posting that they focused too much on the early game and not enough on the late game, I wonder which one is it? BTW every MMO has a grind point regardless. Quest Grinding, level grinding, gear grinding...however you want to call it, grinding is grinding and its in every MMO. If you FEEL the grind at 40-60 and are having so much an issue as to post it on here, perhaps the game is not appealing to you and you should try something else? Then again I feel the grind myself when I play AOC but I usually talk to friends and guildies or group with them and its not much of a problem. If this game doesnt do it for me, Im going to try WAR next, and if that still doesnt do it, I may just stick with WoW untill something worthwhile comes around. AOC is a great game in its own right, and i have faith that Funcom will fix/patch anything to make it better, lets all just give them some time to do it

Around 47 or so you get more quests in both the nobles and field of dead. In both zones there are a few repeatable quests you can do but honestly grinding in FoD is really the only option. At least you can grind the repeatable kill quests. Going to Noble and doing the repeatable villa quests is really a waste since they don't respawn any mobs so it takes about a minute to do each once you know where the items are you need to pick up... Also one of the villa quests that is repeatable is bugged and doesn't work. So it's not worth making the 40 minute run from FoD for the two working quests :(

How about trying the dungeons? This is the best signature ever. Well, it is really up to you to decide. :x |

Did you try taking your top off? That's good for at least another hour of game play. |

Originally posted by Hawkaron from 40-50 there aren't any dungeons. There are some instances off the harvest area's but those are group and only have 1 quest at a time and there aren't any people really looking to do these areas :( The repeatable quests can be a pain unless you do them off hours. They tend to have a zillion people looking for spawns.

I am 56 atm and I have quested all the way to this point, ok so the quests seem to thin out a bit now, but still there is plenty of repeatables I can do, so it's no biggie.
Awesome link, thanks a lot! :)

Originally posted by Gnazon Did you really find the repeatable quests worth it? At lvl 47 i'm really running low on quests I can do and have a couple repeatable ones but the problem is they only give like 3k xp and the mobs you have to kill are heavily camped... Seems to me it is better to just go somewhere and grind something nobody else wants to kill. If I kill stuff my level it gives me like 700+ xp so really the 3k quest reward is like 4 kills?? I just wish you could grind in a group :( but the xp is so poor grouping as to make it totally not worth it. |

They are worth it if you have quests in the same area, as you mentioned running back to get extra 4-5 mobs of xp is not worth it. I think there is one of the vanir quests in field of the dead that I must have completed about 5 times, because other quests sent me to the general area, and since I do not play a stealth class, I just killed my way through (and then on the way back killed a few mobs extra just to get it completed.

Originally posted by Gnazon Well the problem for me is I've done all those quests. I have left are the repeatable ones and some in the haunted forest. Most are orange to me and still too hard. I'm doing some of the group quests but I'm finding grinding on group mobs might be the best thing to do. lvl 45 group mobs in a group of 5 are giving me 768xp per kill. |
