Everquest II

I've been without a computer for a while and i heard a new game commin called AoC i bought it gave it a try and still am not sure about it.

Ill give it a try for a couple of months but as far is it is going right now Eq2 might have one new sub cuz AoC is not engrossing like Eq and EQ2 is its bro c i've been without internet a long time ;)

you're confusing me a little :P so do you want people to recommend you eq2?

he's saying that he bought AoC and realized he didnt like it so he'll subscribe to EQ2 soon. Thats what I got at least. I couldn't really understand him either. English may not be his primary language.

probably :) yeah Eq2 is a great game just activated my account today

I'd stick with AoC if I were you. EQ2 has a rather old graphics and would be a bit disappoiting after you've played AoC

OP, play whatever you like best. You did the best think, better than most people do on these boards. Played and experienced the games for yourself.

Both are good games. AoC is not owned by SOE, Go figure.

Strange thread. There is room for endless discussion - but at the end: play your favourite game and have fun. For me, EQ2 isn't the perfect game - but still the best. This will change sooner or later, no question. But for ME AoC is no reason to change my favor.

EQ2's graphis are still good despite being "old"

And you dont have to have a high end machine to play and have fun like the specs for AOC. 

Im not bashing aoc at all, I cant do that since I havnt even played the game, but I do play EQ2 and the machine i use playes it just fine for my tastes, but I couldnt  play aoc on it.

Main reason i didnt buy the game.

The original Everquest was a very very very good game, I tried EQ2 and I didnt like ultimately where they went with it. AOC is alot of fun but really requires you to be level 20+ to really start seeing the kind of world you will be in most of the time. Give it a few months and see if you like it. Its not the type of game that you can play for a week and get an idea of the overall game.

Both are good games.

EQ2 is 3+ years, so it don't have the same graphics. But, the graphics is still nice and don't pull EQ2 down for me. EQ2 has also 4 expansion packs under its wing. This means that AoC cannot compete with EQ2 on content aspect.

AoC on the other hand is new and fresh, and has alot promising aspect of the end game. Player cities, sieges, pvp minigames, etc., which EQ2 doesn't have.

What to choose? That's up to you. I would try both, since both are worth the price and monthly fees. Personally I plan to continully play both games at the same time.
