I waited for the game 3 years, and knew what to expect. Played the pvp beta, i didn't really get much disappointment. I might be a fanboi, but at least i am not bashing other games that i don't like.

You like (example) WoW? Fine then, it's a good game, i don't like it anymore, but it does not mean that it sucks, and it does not mean that everyone who plays it is a blind idiot.

400k is nothing to laugh at. Second highest MMO in NA already.

Only thing I knew it wouldnt do is beat WoW. Anyone who thought it would is insane.

Some of you guys act like games developers owe you a reason for living.  What's the big deal? You play a game; if you like it you pay your subscription. If you don't like it, you cancel.

Do they owe us something? No, do we have to play the buggy unfinished crap they produce? That answer is also No.  So by saying they dont owe us anything is a 100% true fact but, as far as being a company trying to make money they better damn well produce a good product or ill go somewhere else.

Its like saying a car dealer does not owe you anything well no duh, but if he wants to sell you that car he better damn give you a good deal.

When i bought the game, the store i was in, suddenly went into fire and the one at the store suddenly got horns and asked me; "cash or soul?". After a thought i said "cash please", went out of the store and noticed a burned mark on a wall near by.

Then a priest from the nearby church came at me and said; "THE DEVIL!!! THE DEIVL!!111", as he pointed my way i of course thought "ha, i'm not falling for that old trick" and kept on walking.

As i got home i noticed a trail of fire had followed me; "oh the sun must have been quite nice today", i thought.

As i installed the game, patched it up, and started playing i noticed another thing. My office room had changed into a pit of hell, a red horned fellah with hair that seemed to be on fire came at me.

He said...

"You forgot your change, here.... Oh  by the way, you misspelled your name"

"NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" - i yelled, and afterwards said; "Oh, thank you, good sir, i nearly did a mistake here!"

And i could never sleep again....  *the horror of misspelling your name can be*

Morale of story. :  Don't forget your change.and there ain't always a fire in your neighbourhood. This thread makes this much sense, in the end.

Companies are no longer interested in those 2 3 4 and 5 year dedicated fans.. all they care about is initial box sales, why make a game that will last 10 years when instead you can make 10 games a year?

Honestly atm the only game on the horizon even remotely innovative is Aion and its still VERY capable of turning sour as well.

Personally Im starting to think its time to put down the mice, pick back up our footballs, baseballs, frisbees, and all those other toys we had back before gaming came into our lives and made us all online crack addicts.

Anyway to those still enjoying AoC great hope you get your $60 worth, to those who lost $60 and got nothing for it.. oh well maybe next time.

It took WoW 4 years to accomplish what they did. For a new game to come into the party and wipe WoW out existence is just crazy. However the #'s are very impressive for a new MMO that hit the market.

On another note.. It is still is hard to find a Copy of AoC in any store (right now).

Heard great things about it, heard bad things about it. Nothing I heard made me want to play this game though. However, my friends are having a blast, so it can't be all bad.

Well the game is best MMO rated on this site, It had a best hype before release, it is the most popular game in 1 yea, 6 months, 1 month, week and today on this site and already has 400k subscribers even though the game is a week old. The game is completely sold out here where I live.

If everything you say is true zorndorf why am i having an incredible time playing AoC right now?  I am sure some of what you say is true and I am also sure some is not.  This game is IMMERSIVE.  The last game that made me feel this way was eq1, my first mmo.  I have played plenty since then.  I did not expect conan to grab me the way it has becuase I have been let down 2 often.  I love a post that starts out "To all the fan boys" when it is pathetically obvious you are posting here to defend whatever mmo you currently enjoy.  I see people all over the place in the 20-40 zone I am currently leveling in.  All over the place.  So what exactly is your point? That the zones are instanced?  Yes they are.  Allows for superior graphics which lead to superior immersion.  Me thinks you haven't even played the game.
