Age of Conan

Ganking in this game is out of hand. It's sad how many people think it's okay to disrespect other human beings because they sit on the other side of a computer screen. There are a few points which must be pounded into the heads of "spawn campers" who apparently lack a life (i.e. go work out, get some sun instead of sitting at a spawn site pushing a single button to kill players.)

Issues:

1. PVP = Player VERSUS Player. The word "versus" implies a fight, struggle, or battle. "ganking" is NOT pvp, it is the act of a pathetic person who cares nothing for the fact that (even though a video game), they are offending another human being in real life. Scum.

2. Ganking is bad enough, but spawn camping is ridiculous. This is NOT part of the intended game. They are fixing this issue as we speak. This is merely a request that you stop being a douchebag in advance until the fix comes and FORCES you too. Sad you have to be asked though.

3. No, I am not a "carebear" and I do not wish to join a "PVE" server. What I'm looking for is "fights" between players...Not a screen-spamming of the "ressurect" button. If a one sided fight is what you enjoy so much, why don't you go outside and kick your dog around some more?

4. For players who agree with me, look how pathetic some humans are. If there weren't any "laws" in real life, they'd probably run around and be douches in that world too. Sad how some people don't have any "honor" eh?

haha yeah, its sad when i'm in the middle of a fight as a demonologist, then 2 assassins twice my level both attack me at the same time.

I am new to PvP. I did not know this was part of the deal. I have 8 kills and 2 deaths in 1 on 1 battles. However I have an additional 25 deaths when I am at a rez point or engaged with a enemy npc. If there are no rules, so be it. But dern,  cant they let me get at least to 75% health at least?

From what I understand you get PVP experience, right?  Not sure how it works out, but this to me would be promotiing ganking like crazy because to level in PVP you have to kill players.  I am holding out for now, but hope this issue is settled because I remember how it was in WoW with the corpse and GY camping on PvP servers.

Man, I can understand your pain, but pucker up and stop having such a cry.

PVP is about ALL Player vs Player combat.
With every MMO comes idiots, and they do things like this... not everyone player is merciful.

The other thing is, stop relating real life and gaming, they're 2 completely different things.
I personally don't care who you are, or what you're feeling, cause I don't know you.

Games are games, real life is real life. If you are relating the 2, you've got some serious issues.

Deal with the guys until they fix it up.

Understand that this is more the game developers fault than the players.
If you leave a game open for something like this, it's always going to happen.

The way I look at it, if Funcom did not realise, after a truckload of MMO's have had the EXACT same issue, that they should put something in to stop it, then it's no-one's fault but their own. You should be blaming them, not the player taking advantage of a game-flaw.

For the record i've never, nor will I ever spawn camp, because I find it lame.

Lol, I remember that... I miss the old SWG.  I agree the spawn camping in this game is horrible.  Worse, by far, than WoW was.  I hope this gets fixed soon... They have an OK game, needs a few major things fixed.  I might try comming back to game in 6 months or so to see how they do.

I was so pissed when this first happened to me. KNOWING i chose a PvP server i never made a peep about the situation. What i did was wait until i dinged 20 came back to white sands and have spent the past two days ganking every single player who was not of that areas level range I witnessed sitting in stealth engaging in PvP. Now I have to tell you I play with 3 RLF's we all have other characters above 40 but made assassins for the sole purpose of eliminating characters who IE: attack people already in combat, attack people lower level then them, or camp spawn points. Needless to say I found all these "gankers" I dealt with when I was level 5-16 LEFT immediately after someone there level killed them. It's pretty sad they will farm people they can one shot but when it becomes a challenge for them they log off. SAD

either way, If you play on Shadowblade ( my new server since my other characters are all on max population servers  for the times i play ) you can send primal a tell and I will camp any of these jokers camping people half there level.

would be nice if fights atleast started out fair.  or if when your killed by a higher level you turn into a powerful spirit that can seek revenge!

about all you can do is what lysrgk1 has done.  Until there is some type of safe haven or border laws implemented that is really all you can do.    Get your 20 then come back and gank the gankers, it will get old and they will eventually move on, and if they come back rinse and repeat.   I remember in shadowbane I would get super ganked and I would log my alt and gank the ganker once and clear the area.
