Actually, it has been much longer.  On Jan 17, 2007, Tasos reported that they had met their beta milestone in early December (2006) of a fully functional and stable beta build.  By my count, that means it has been over 17 months.  (In August, they reported that while they are technically ready for beta, negotiations with publishers needs to be completed first)

Game has been feature complete for 2 years by now, the only problem is they cant find a publisher. The question is why, no one want to publish and associate their company with Darkfall, considered a godly next gen best of all game by the fanatics here.

Or just the other way round. Publisher try to put by Aventurine not acceptable clauses into contracts.

  But in all honestly most of us really would rather play a good game like AoC (bah the servers are down thus I'm here reading your drivel) then set here on the forums defending or deny a game that always just a few weeks away from beta.

  Anyway you Fanbois hang tight we,ll come see you at the end of the year just to find out what reason DF wasn't released and live this time.

We could always argue about the font on the DF website or how long it has been in developement, you know the things the trolls always bring up that don't matter.

...cause... if that's what you mean... sounds like a fair compromise.  I'll make popcorn and hopefully there's a CE I can buy.

NOTE: Not buying the CE cause I want to play... I'm buying ti because I buy the CE for all MMOs... hell, my AoC CE is still shrink wrapped, so is TR and CoV.  Probably a few others too.

  Umm Didn't the company say the game was gonna be live by the end of the year. ie a set in stone date? that gives them 6 months in counting not only to have the game ready, the servers up but to also self publish. all in only six months, my hats off to the guys if they can pull it off but color me doubtfull.

I wouldn't consider myself a troll, more of a skeptic really. Though I can see how fanbois may get confused. Anyway, I haven't posted much on these forums, and MMORPG.com in general, because I've been busy playing AoC and a few closed betas I'm in. Sorry, can't get too specific.

Besides that, there really isn't much to talk about on these boards. There is no substantial info on DF besides more promises and vague comments.

There is really no point to it. With a game like this, it's only common sense that there is going to be a LOT of doubt about the game and lots of understandable suspicions that this game is way behind schedule, lacks the needed proof of substance this far into development, and even possibly that is IS indeed vaporware and will never actually release.

A person who has doubts about this game is much less of a troll then is a person who STILL believes this game will release and be the best game ever is a fanboy. In other words the fanboys here are much more hardcore "fanboys" then are the "trolls" because atleast the trolls as you want to call them have much more reason to be doubtful of all the promises made by this game.
