I'm an old school mmorpg player from Meridian 59, Ultima Online (back when it was good) and Asherons Call Darktide.   My first mmorpg experiences were not PVE related but PVP.  My core roots have been kill or be killed, gain allies and defeat player enemies.   I can handle any harsh FFA PVP environment with ease.  As such Age of Conan PVP servers are a Godsend for me.    If you are an old schooler then I urge you to pick up a copy of Age of Conan and join a PVP server! THE OLD DAYS ARE BACK MY FRIENDS.  I've been slaughtering players over & over & over again.   You can easily take control and impose your will upon anyone you please.

- Having friends in Age of Conan PVP server actually means something. Why? Because they haven't killed you so obviously they are your friend!

- Large amount of guild politics.

- You are free to kill anyone you please, so if someone angers you just kill them.

- You are free to do as you wish.

- This game caters to the elite mmorpg PVP'er.  Chances are if you come from everquest or world of warcraft you will not like this game or you will be utterly destroyed by the veterans.

- The combat system IS NOT EASY.  The game requires you to have a high degree of skill or else you will be defeated by more intelligent players. 

- There is no mercy for the stupid & weak (World of warcraft or everquest type players).

This game is going to provide at least 6-8 months of enjoyment!

Are there any politics? beacuse otherwise without any politics or any for of dp this sounds just like another wow or eq pvp type of game.

The only politics that matter are those dictated by the Keep holders. The rest is just small time scirmish. And I'm not talking siege warfare only ;)

 I agree With you 100% but i would try to edit the forum ..you have players whos going to say you are trolling.

I came from Everyquest and i have to say the Zek server(old days before POP) was 100% FFA pvp..that was really hardcore and fun.I been waiting for a game that is old school.

I been playing AoC and i am killing alot of guild leaders for blood money.And killing the noobs whos acting dumb. it feels great.

The other thing what i want AoC to put on the PvP server is that you can loot one item from a players body when you kill him.And fix the death pen

Because of the cap in siege participants, I imagine we won't be seeing much politics which is quite disappointing.

Oh and joker, no offence to you, but seeing as i went to eq2 from L2 and shadowbane, its pvp was so carebear and meaningless i quit after the free month. Being able to attack any1 does not equal hardcore.

aocsource is kinda the pvp comm hub right?

is there any other forum alike? would like to know

Veterans will hate aoc..because in aoc you can only kill a person once...when he rez he chooses  another instance of that zone, instance number 566 per exemple and loads away from the veteran that only killed him once...

And if all do the same the poor veteran will stay alone in that small linear instanced zone..

A good pvp game must have no instanced zones, no loadings so that the prey cant escape anywere..unless he calls some friends to stat a bigger battle...

Did You Play Old school Everquest? on Zek? i played Swg,Eq2,Sb,Coh,Daoc,wow,GW,eve..ect all pvp. but old school Everquest was one of the best time i ever played a MMO. it was fun,hard,and great..don't forget you could loot the bodys in Zek (old school) thats a pain when you are lvl 47..

There are already a ton of politics going on in my server.  Guilds are declaring war on each other and negotiating truces, and organizing some small scale skirmishes.  It's been a lot of fun.
