How many times will MMORPG developers clone WoW and fail?

you simply cannot beat Blizzard at making the best in the genre.

Please, make an innovative game like darkfall so we can begin the process of waiting for Blizzard to perfect it.

Mmorpg didn't make AOC or any games on the site that i'm aware of. (JK , I know what you meant!)

Yes WOW is a great game but took time to be recoqnized.

AOC was just released may 20 '08.

Can you point me in the direction of this...Darkfall? Sounds like an absolutely phenomenal game - the perfect game. I can't believe I've not seen any reviews, any player feedback here or elsewhere. Have I been hiding under a rock?

Oh please tell me where can I buy this Darkfall? I'm tingling with excitement here!

AoC and WoW are two different games buddy

AoC has a very neat combat system, AMAZING graphics, blood, mature content, an actual story, loads more fun, siege, guild cities, guild sieges/war, AMAZING PVP

WoW has:

immense amounts of gold sellers = game is RUINED because of it

the game could be on cartoon network (kid friendly, toon graphics)

pvp is a joke

last but not least... the game is just old.

AoC does NOT feel like WoW AT ALL.

Infact, I would venture to say, AoC has a VERY original feel too it.  I'm not going to get into why.

Wether AoC is good or not, it's definitely NOT a WoW-clone.

Must agree with you here. AoC feels NOTHING like WoW when you're playing it. You are actually adventuring, not just grinding one of the 200 mobs in a wide open zone.

And for those of you who quit before finishing tortage, it only gets better after lv20. The environments are amazing.. esp. with max settings.

 So, what you are saying is that you want blizzard to make WoW better than it is because you are unhappy.

Age of Conan isn't really a clone of WoW. It's different in many aspects. In fact, no MMORPG is a clone of WoW. The title "MMORPG" doesn't solely belong to WoW or Blizzard. Just because it is the most recognized MMORPG doesn't mean it is the starter of the category. All MMORPGs are going to have similar qualities, that's what happens when more than one thing is grouped into a category.
