First tell me why he won't let you buy the PC version? I know nothing about the 360 version but I assumed it would have the same mature boob filled decapitating content as the PC version. Besides that tell me about your father specifically can he tell one video game from another? Because when I was your age (roughly) I wanted to play Grand Theft Auto but my parents wouldn't allow it in the house much less buy it for me. Hence my solution was to get down to the store myself get myself a copy and proceed to play it right in front of them, and for all they knew it was just a fun little racing game.
"What is it that the gamers want from these games and why is it not given to them? We were playing these games ourselves, that's why we know it was not being done. So we moved in the opposite direction. We thought about what the users wanted, what we wanted, and why it wasn't happening and how it could happen." - Tasos Flambouras |

Originally posted by deputy1389 Well, first of all, he is your father and at your age, his word (and your mother's?) is law. My thought is to find out why he wants you to wait until x-box version. Maybe he has a good reason. In the end it might just be "parenting". I promise you, this is a good thing as there are too many younger people out there who don't have parenting. And trust me, you'll be out on your own soon enough and will only benefit from parenting. However, ask him. You can't discuss it with him unless you know the reasons. If he says you are too young then quite frankly, "good for him". Not that you can't handle it or anything but really, it means that he cares and I promise you, in the end it's a good thing. Consider yourself lucky. Even though it might not be apparent at the moment. |

Originally posted by SovrathQFT. Talk to him, find out why he does not want to buy it for you. The x360 version won't be much different (if you plug in an usb keyboard and a mouse), so i can't see his point here... maybe it's because of your PC specs?
And btw. age matters... NOT. Some 14 year olds can be more mature than the adults. But it's kinda rare. ;P |
