As for underscores, numbers, etc (WTF does he mean by "etc" ? \!@¢ and shit like that ? please god no..). in names it's just the way it works right now. If you don't like them, sure we'll take them out until you petition them back in when you run out of naming options. : )

Do you guys believe him? I played a ton of games in my lifetime and this is the first time i hear about this excuse.

All that I see in that thread is excuses and then even more excuses.
And the promise for a release withiin this year, when they havent even start their beta.
Another promise is for a video that will be shown in weeks from now, but THEY will do it alone because, even if they have HUUUGE work to do and he was in the hospital, there is not a single $ left from that 30millions loan :p. So they will roleplay the directors for a while, and in their short breaks they will also sweep the floors, clean the windows an all. pfff

What this thread was about though, is about what really happened with them and Warcry: seems that Warcry realized about the great fiasco in the making and they pulled out, so forget about all those juicy devlog updates too

Wait so someone might be able to name their character Chuck_Norris, Jet_Lee, Bruce_Lee, etc?

The editor who was bothering to put up those dev journals left warcry (and the industry) and now I guess no one cares about doing it anymore.

So Tasos is resorting to sarcastic and condescending mocking of the genuine concerns of his games community with ironic comments in his updates?

Instead of professionally addressing those concerns with explanations or justifications.

Please excuse me if I or very many other followers of this game don’t share your amusement.

But it would not surprise me because as I have demonstrated its not the only time a Darkfall developer has publicly attacked the Darkfall community in the past, even if they later deleted those comments.

And the way things are going I doubt it will be the last.

The name convention of  DF is really a  no issue some try  to puff  up.

And Tasos says it clearly if you don't like  naming convention  you can petition  it back at any time.  lol

No, because what the OP has said in the past is irrelevant to my opinion because we are separate people, or are you assuming that all critics or skeptics on this site are the same person?

Honest i can't see the big picture on that, it is at best just annoying  for some people to have to deal with weird names. Can't see more in that.

Honestly!

Why care? In DF you wont see the names of other characters. And if YOU are stupid enough to name your character with some messed up name.... noone will have anything to do with it for clans/groups.

And that is all that matters for DF. In WoW you could have "any" name you wanted to have, and everyone had to watch it.

Now when noone can see it......people whine about it! !00% weirdness.
