You would be surprised how few people care about what you have to say. |

Yes But all in all this has been one of the best launches of a major title in years and just like every MMORPG before it, there will be growing pains the first few months. I suspect a lot of peoples problems come from trying to run the game on systems 3+ years old and are mostly client side issues and not the game itself. You people that are so vitriolic towrd the game need to just go find a game that you like to play. AoC is a good game and it is a fun game. ![]() |

If something that isn't currently enabled, the logical and correct thing to do is to disable the selection in the video options to avoid confusions. Unless confusion is exactly what you're trying to cause. |

I had a terrible time running this game in beta. I would get 20 - 30 fps or so, which is playable, but I'd also get stuttering and huge drops in my fps from time to time (constantly dying because of it), especially if there was a bit of action around me. Since the launch, it's much, much better. I still get a tiny bit of loading lag but that's my so-so processor. My husband gave me a Geforce 8800 gt (the one with the wee cute fan!) and it improved even more. (I had a 7800 gt in it) It runs fine even with this processor which is barely above the minimum requirements but well below the recommended.
I will, however, agree that the official forums are horrible. Worse than WoW, even. And that's bad! I only go there if I am looking for something specific and then I run away as soon as I find it. A person makes one criticism and the people over there pounce. Although thing's are much better in the game and the forums reflect that, there are a lot of people still having issues, both in game and with their accounts. It doesn't seem to be a small number of people with problems, either. Funcom fails at customer support, in my opinion. They've made some bad decisions regarding business practices, too. That doesn't, however, detract from the fact that they've put together a good, fun game. I'm glad I can play it but I recognise that there are a lot of issues and Funcom isn't particularly good at addressing them in the forums. People get angry when they feel ignored. |

Sadly, without viewing access to the official forums, these questionable tactics and the rumored poor customer support really discourages people who are on the fence like me.
Probably leaning more towards trying the game now, they tried hard enough to get my $50 and some of their smart moves should be rewarded. |

I would honestly wait at lest a month before trying out the game, there is a lot of issues to work out. when they open up the offical forum for view to the public is a good sign the game is off to a good start. |

OP said "Lets hope they can fix this one fast becuase the posts of people canceling there subscriptions grows by the day" You do realize that no one has a subscription to cancel. Everyone in both U.S.A and E.U are both still on the first few days of their free month. Not nit picking, just when you make bold statements like that, you should think them through. Yes there are alot of complaints, and it's to be expected. You don't make a cutting edge game and expect everyone to have smooth sailing. However what you do need to look for is devlopers putting serious effort in debugging. That is more than evident from the simple fact that the first day of release I was getting 5-10 FPS and barely able to move. Now I get a steady 20-30 FPS, stopped random crashing, no more "black screen" when swiveling camera. What keeps my faith is that Funcom is speaking with actions, not empty words or apology letters. There are frequent auto-patches and bug fixes being released. Bug spotted? splat, bug killed
Edit: spelling Through or thru? lol |

The game does have some issues, but we all knew ahead of time that this game was going to be a monster and require a very good pc to run at best settings. Most of the performance issues come from peoples computers not from the game itself, as this is still just the first month and I feel the game is running smoothly I only expect it to get better. I have a crap graphics card but I can still play the game and I really do enjoy it, Its not perfect nothing is but it is alot of fun and great to look at. I think this was a pretty good launch and have to say this is the best looking game graphic wise to date. |

First of all: If the game doesnt run smooth, dont blame the company, cause the game runs very smooth. We are playing 8 friends together and the only one who had a problem was because he was playing from his laptop on abroad (Our comps are not super high but most can play with max details.) 2nd, the game is fun except dungeons. Dungeons are extremely boring, huge and repeating. Many people have great fun. I especially enjoy the fact that quest item drop rate is 90%. 3rd, this game is not WoW killer, we will enjoy this for a month or two, but then there is not much to do. I dont know if you guys noticed it or not but the entire game area is pretty small. I got level 41 in 6 days, and I already saw levels 80s at the end of friday. I dont understand why some people say `this game is super cool, incredible, fantastic ` etc. Are you getting paid for this or what? That is an average everquest copy, nothing special. And I also dont understand those who tell `the game sucks, will be another SWG failure, nothing works`etc. You are wrong, that game is not bad, point. Now go to play with whatever game you like to play, Conan or whatever. If you dont have anything else to play with, name your hands Candy and Handy, and make a triple with your stick. Just stop fooling real players with wrong information. |

Buggy post......AoC is really cool, its better than the average MMO and comparing it to AO is like telling me Vanilla is better than chocolate. AoC took me by surprise and I don't see any reason why you dislike it. Granted it can be a grind session extraordinaire but the grinds seem more reasonable and less of a task. This is not a game. |

After reading all the negative posts during open beta, I was very leary of the game myself. But, I have to say since I started playing in the eary access, I have not seen any of the major problems that I was reading about. I guess I learned the hard way that people are going to blast the internet but negative stuff about games no matter what. In the past, I have always went off what other gamers thought about the game before I could play. The gamming community has changed so much since 2001 when the last game I started at release (DAoC). The game does have minor problems. Key word minor not major. Such has today, the mini map is not working right for me. Is it game breaking, No way. Almost all the minor problems will be fixed over time. After playing IMO two of the great classics EQ and DAoC, I will say that both of those games had a ton of minor problems when they released. They went on to become two of the greatests MMORPG in the history of these type of games From now on, I will never go off any reviews or posts on any of these websites. People have become so jaded these days, that it is not even funny. |
