Have any of you ever had to talk to them regarding billing charges when you cancel your xbox live sub?

I called today to cancel both of my sons subs because their xbox broke (burned up). They keep you on hold forever, then you  speak to ppl who's grasp of the english language is limited...then you are informed you will be paying an additional months payment because of "their billing cycle"

I paid both accounts on 4/28 and other one 4/29..I called today  to cancel. In my checking account I am still under the 30days but they came up with this that their billing date is on the 25th . I said well its still under the 30 days..then they say even though I pay on 28th and 29th that my sons accounts are different days. I'm like what the heck?? Its a con job I say  to rob kids and their parents of one more month. If I were you guys..I would call up and ask when your "official" billing date is and what date you actually get billed to your cc company.

I had intentions of buying another in thenext month or two but no way will I after dealing with these two ppl. Even the manager (supervisor) was as dim as first guy. I guess I will invest instead in psp. For as much as the 360 cost you wouldthink it would last longer than 1 1/2yrs anyway.

So beware everyone and find out your billing dates and watch their billing on your cc like hawks

Well, that's cutamor service from a big company for ya.  This is why I get a year subscription at a time.

On the other hand, I would look into how their Xbox broke.  If it broke due to 3 (I believe) red rings on the poweer button, it means that Microsoft is responsible to the Xbox breaking.  That goes for if you were one of the people to purchase it the first year it came out.  They will send you a free one in return.

Also, I don't reccommend the PSP.  I always liked the 360 better.

"And I Aint Ever Ran From A Ninja And I Damn Sho Aint Bout To Pick Today To Start Runnin"

I just got my xbox back in the mail three days ago. So we got two Xbox360's now. Honestly, I'm not suprised of your situation. I start to see a lot of big companies do that. I remember when I ordered from Pro Flowers, they have this "free offer" that you can sign up to with one (can be accidental) click too and then 16 bucks comes out of your bank account every month for free savers of nothing. They gave me my money back which was nice and easy, but a lot of people are under the wing of that and is getting drained from it.

I own a PSP, depending on if your sons are very responsible I would recommend it. A console can't be moved but a PSP can be dropped, kicked, smashed, etc. I would like for you to buy another console though. X360 are still good around here. Also I think that custermer support might be like some type of telemarking thing. I don't think it actually comes from Xbox Headquarters. Just a guess. I only been satisfied with 2 voices since I had an Xbox. A asian chick that sounds hot, a female manager that is very cool headed, and some other American. It's hard to understand the others sometimes.

AOL use brute force marketing, of course they didn't want you to cancel.
