So after you buy the game and install it from the disk you then have to download 15 Gigabytes of patches in order to play?!?! Is that true? If it is then what is the download speed like? Are we talking about an all-nighter here? |

Um... your source is a fricken' web comic... as in a joke... But to answer your question... the entire client download is 15gb, the patches aren't anywhere close. |

Like previous posters stated it isn't that big. For speeds, I'd say the FC servers are pretty forkin' fast for patches. I get about 1MB/sec, which is right at the max speed for my line, so it could be higher. And I'm in Japan, where normally I get crap connections everywhere. |

Just installed the game from disk, bypassing the 15 GB download. The patching takes about 2 hours today, theres three patches, about 65mb, 94mb and 630mb. Max download speed i got from the server was about 500kb/s, but dropped to about 170kb/s most the time.
Hope this helps :) P.S. This was on the European servers, launching tomorrow 23/05/08. |

Speaking of which,..
is there a link I can download the patch without loggin in? I am at work atm.and would like to save time by downloading it her,e.then tossing it on a stick to bring home. thanks!

HA!! Nothing that bad. I installed the game last night. I had to download two patches. The first was a little over 500 MB and the second was about 18 MB. Between the install which took quite awhile on my system and the patching which took about half an hour, I was up and playing in about an hour an a half. |

patching took around 15 minutes for me- But i have a basically brand new comp (quadcore, 8800 Gt something or other graphics card, 4 gigs of ram...etc.) and Verizon Fios internet. |

like previous posters stated the patch itself isn't 15gigs the whole thing including the patch is 15gigs. I had no trouble and took abotu a 1 and a half to install everything. Unfortunate for me tho im one of the many folks whos comps laugh at them when they try to play the game. Just dont think my pc can handle the game at this time without a major upgrade. |
