For Pete's sake!  Those kiddies are everywhere.

Havnt played retail mainly because of a imature community that I didnt want to be a part of was gonna give things a few month's and see how things are then.

AOC's chat channels where possibly the worst I have seen in any game not just content but layout as well.

In the game with supposedly the worst of the worst game community (aka WoW), I managed to meet some amazing people and make friends for life, even after stopping playing.

Too early to know how the AoC community will evolve. I'd give it past the initial month for the novelties to wear off.

Im still debating the game. I dont know. Im still hoping the community gets better and they add depth to the game.

I was hoping with a M rating we would have mostly adults playing but Im wrong with this.   Ive hit server to server and they always talk about WoW or their boobs or their noobs.  Hell, im willing to shell out some cash to find a server that is at least halfway decent in terms of maturity because right now Im pulling my hair out as Im having horrid Barrens Chat flashbacks.

I'm on Derketo, and a couple things have amazed me.

1) OOC chat has been more or less always helpful, and always friendly.

2) I have not seen anyone just running around with a topless female char showing her boobs off.

3) I have not seen any obvious cybering.

4) Not ONE WoW comment or Chuck Norris joke.

5)  I've only been in one group (too bust getting 50 new chars through the starting areas to try them out), but so far everyone I've interacted with has been polite, friendly, and moderately intelligent. I've seen a few of the "wut? were r u?" type messages, but nothing irritating enough to rouse my ire.

I have to get to a major city and see if it holds up.
