Here's a demonstration of a very severe bug, that people don't notice at first. But once they start grouping and PvP'ing for real, they'll notice for sure.

I've made a thread on the official forums, that's grown quite large with dozens of people saying they have NPCs/Mobs/Players popping in and out of view like crazy - completely unrelated to settings and view distance. It seems to be server to client related.

Wait until you start chasing PvP opponents around and they disappear from plain sight without hiding. That, or when you want to gather your group but both models and mini-map icons are gone.

Then, it becomes something more than annoying.

Which I've certainly experienced more then once.  :)  As I said, annoying, but hardly game breaking.  Just move slowly with your tank at point for pve.  Since there's no penalty for pvp death, then there's not much to worry about in that regard.

lol this bugged happened to me earlier today .... a necro sent her pets at me and disapeared and then appeared behind me .... I died due to 2 other stygians came and helped her but it wasnt all that bad, just annoying.

EDIT: what actually bothers me more, is the slow load times of players/npcs. I have my view of people at max distance and they still pop up right in front of me out of nowhere.

I can see that being a real pain in the ass. Hopefully Funcom see's that the issue is a big one and gets to fixing it asap.

Now that I think of it, it's happened to me. But I don't play on a PvP server so it's far less a major issue.

Don't get me wrong, I think the game is fabulous and has great potential. But you'd be surprised how things like this can be missed by the devs - especially considering how busy they must be right now - but it needs to be brought to light by as many as possible.

Right now, it's the honeymoon period and I understand that people are in love with the game. I fully understand, as it's overall an amazing product. But you need to appreciate that there will be a reality after the first excitement has passed - which will constitute the real test of longevity.

The sooner we deal with these issues - the greater the chance will be that it'll be fixed before the masses discover how serious they really are.

You're dismissing the issues - because you're still overwhelmed by how good the rest of the game is. But, I'll bet good money you'll reach a point when you start noticing this very issue for real, and understand just how big a problem it can be.

I think this tends to be a problem for pretty much all new MMOs.  WoW invisible mobs were killer heh.

As long as it's not exploited, it should go away soon (hopefully).
