Am I right? I don't wanna bust out, buy the first release, run outa content and bust out another $40.00 for Xpac or whatever it is they call them. That's kinda spendy for a game.

How long for a casual player, do you think it'll take before having to buy one of the xpacs? I know there's only one officially, but anything that costs $40.00 like Faction, and those additions, are pretty much xpacs.

There is a pack with all the expansions included a lot cheaper, $60 or so. Well worth it.

Well,

My concern is spending $170.00 in a week on GuildWars because I keep on running outa content. But I suppose eventually everyone who sticks with the game spends that much. Unless there's that pack the person above was talking about, but I've failed to find anything including all the games.

I have played for a little over two years now. and run multiple characters back and forth between Prophesies, Factions, Nightfall and Eye of the North and still have many places i haven't explored yet.

I think that I have gotten a massive amount of fun for my investment, but that is just my opinion. I play warrior, ranger, elementalist, necromancer, dervish, assassin and mesmer class atm but have sampled every class available.

Looking forward to another year of combat and exploration.

To be honest I really don't think it's possible to run out of content in a week. There's no way you'll know the game well enough to be able to finish certain missions. Plus there's hard mode etc etc! I still struggle with some annoying missions and I've been playing over 2 years.

I like airplane games.

When I played the original Guild Wars and finished it, I decided to build another character. Before I even got far with my second character, I decided to create yet another one. I think character building and getting all the skills is one of the main and fun aspects of the game. And by the time I finished Prophecies with my third character, I bought all the other expansion packs and got started on Nightfall, which is where I'm currently at.

Luckily though, I found good deals on the games and paid less than I would have if I just used the online store.

I think GW is worth the money. At some point in every mmo things can get repetitive. Also you don't have to pay a monthly fee to play.

To fight a necromancer is to see your afterlife should you lose...

roughly.. if you can't find a special price..

however let's put this into perspective, I also play WoW though I admit not nearly as much as GW.. (mainly cause some friends play WoW) and I've had it for about.. 3 years.. counting the expansion, so far that's been a 655.64$ investment...

>_> <_< ^_^

Ive playd this game since the start casually off and on, somtimes id take a few months off sometimes id play for a month straight 24/7  I just beat the game around christmas and finally bought my first expansion - eye of the north - AFTER 3 years of playing.

Theres tonnes of crap to do in this game content wont be a problem.  Even if you do rush and finish it  its still worht playing during holiday events
