DAOC had a problem with buff bots. One person would run two instances of the game- 2 different accounts- where he would play one class and park the 2nd one- buffer/healer- somewhere safe. The 2nd one would buff the first one to give him an advantage mostly in PVP. You basically did not have much of a chance against a medi-yolkre player whos buffed and your not. Is this possible in AOC? I heard somewhere that it is possible..maybe tune down the settings etc. |

First you might have to tune down the settings. Second you would have to make a separate instance of AoC on your computer.
Funcom made it so you can only boot up AoC once per instance of the software installed, so you would just have to make multiple instances of the game data, which would take up a hell of a lot of room, but is still viable.
Not quite sure what the actual logic would be in this game though, unless you can control all those characters at once their buffs alone aren't about to save ya, and if you're fighting mobs small enough to take without aid of the guys following you, you might as well be soloing as yer own abilities should be good enough with a potion or two... As the size of an explosion increases, the number of social situations it is incapable of solving approaches zero. - Vaarsuvius |

OP: you would need a space-age computer with ~30bg of space per installation. I don't see what the benefit would be, really. You would also need 4 arms. |

I think this would be problematic in AoC for several reasons:
