Age of Conan

I was in the Beta.

(Kinda) even with a VISTA machine that should be smoking in terms of hardware, I could never actually play the game.

I gave the game the benefit of the doubt, bought the CE and go to register today.

First, my Beta account is wiped out I guess. I was thinking maybe we got some in-game benefit for at least trying to login and answering their surveys?

So, I go in as my account name which I use on every MMO I ever play. Seems they still remember I played AO back in 1999 because when I try to create a subscription for this after loging and registering the product it says "Subscription already exists" and won't let me proceed.

WTF?

So I am trying to reach a customer support person, the only option seemed to be an email form. I get a nice red warning box that the message cannot be sent (then as a curtesy I guess) it erases what I wrote in the form.

no phone number?

WTF? They want to sell millions of copies of this game and they haven't set up a customer service line?

hmmm, vanguard must be like "Oh hell yes! finally, a game with worse planning than us!"

Anyone got a CS number? I am a Grognard and want to at least try to play this thing!!

I am in the same situation as you man - I have no idea how to get a hold of anyone and I cannot use my account.

Just FYI there have been multiple posts about this on other boards, I dont think I have seen one on mmorpg.com though. 

The beta accounts are being closed, the are completely seperate from the retail accounts.

Other people have said they contacted funcom about having and AO acount also and they have said the 2 are not linked.  You will have to go to register.ageofconan.com and you will be able to use the left box to enter your key and create a new account.

On a side note people have said you can use the same name as you AO account even though they are not linked.

same situation man....my account is banned and i never stepped foot in game...my forum account is banned aas well...customer support form doesnt even work....

After you register your key and set up your account you will be able to go in and chose a new forum name and password.

Also, FYI all acounts with pre-order keys are frozen until the retail code has been entered.

I am getting most this information from the official forums.  Which ironically you cant log in without and account. lol
