I mean, considering that Funcom is from Norway you'd think that they would atleast let us get in first/same time as US :(

I'm reaching for straws here, but it could be related to localizations. You don't really get away with putting english-only versions of a game in shelves in german/french speaking countries, and there's a whole bunch of those.

But look at it this way: what's a week to or fro in the great scheme of things? ;)

AFAIK the EU version is MULTI-4 (English, French, German, Spanish). Probably the first version to get Gold was the English-Only one, which isn't sold in Europe.

That could make sense, don't you think?

OMG! Ponies!

I'm just grateful we're getting it here in South Africa on the 23rd and not the 30th as originally planned lol.

I guess the reason it's taking longer for the EU version to be released is because it needs to be distibuted to multiple countries?

Because europeans are 2nd rate customers. I'm sure CEOs call it an industry best practice to handle things that way at this point

Huh, seems stupid not to sell the game earlier, it is not as anyone can start before the servers open anyway.

But that the EU version is launched 3 days later is probably just cause its easier launching half the servers first and the rest after a few days. As why they choose Us first? Maybee thy flipped a coin or maybee Eidos asked them to. Not a big deal, we have to wait 3 days.

The REAL reason is that Funcom like most companies know that if they gave Europa(Not the EU), the North American forcewhine would reach immense dimensions.

There would be boycots, "Mothers against letting their sons wait when european sons got theirs" rallies, lawyers suing and Bush threatening to invade because we're terrorizing his young citizens....

So... thumb rule, is to always release in North America first, unless it's a koreangrinder, those guys couldnt care less, since they own america anyway with their cheap knockoffs

The last of the Trackers

Nonesense, its because the EU has the French.... in fact, you are probably French.
