Age of Conan

I just picked up my copy from my local Gamestop. Apparently they were told it was ok to break Street Date by the developer and have been selling the game since last thursday.

Anyways I just picked mine up and got it installed, but I cannot connect to the patch server. I was hoping to have it all patched up and ready to go fro tomorrow, as I dont have the early access.

So is it down?

Is it not going to let us non early access people patch until tomorrow?

Or is there just something wrong on my end?

Nope, its down. Should be back up in about 45 min.

Yes they are down.  They should be back up in an hour or so.  Maby sooner.

Cool cool, that means I can path overnight and be ready to play when I get home from work tomorrow.

next question, which is one somebody dedicated a whole thread to but has gotten no answers, what are the patch sizes after install? I hope they are minimal but I imagine they could get pretty large based off the rest of AoC file sizes.

Well, I didn't reply to that one because I couldn't remember the exact sizes.  I can say that the initial patch and yesterdays only took about 5 min each.

The biggest one i remember seeing was like 641MBs, but they range in size from 14MBs to that. It goes pretty darn fast shouldnt take you more than a hour to get them all. Its one of the better patchers ive seen.

 so does the Error 105 mean patch server = offline?  5 times its done this, ive watched 2 movies and watched 7 you tube video's while searching forums for the meaning of error 105.

Try again around 11:10 Central. I seem to remember getting that once or twice on the 17th when the server was down. Also make sure your windows is up to date and your Graphics drivers as well.

I am not getting a specific error.

But when I runt he patcher it simply get

"Fatal Error: Failed to download patch information file" right above the progress bar. Basically I want to make sure its because of the patcher being down and not some firewall or antivirus software I am running. Although I suppose I could just turn everything off and give it a whirl.

The patch server is up now. I just patched mine. So if you still cant theres somthin esle wrong.
