Many people leave their game now for a new one. I have done this numerous times. If they like what they see they ll stay i m sure, but EQ2 is such a different game then AOC i can t see it lasting long for alot. I tried AOC as well as quite a few from my guild and friends in game and we all but 1-2 hated it. I m glad i tried it because i m a huge impulsive buyer when it comes to MMOs and i would have bought it. In the end if they re expecting a EQ2 type game with some pvp they ll be back very soon. |

Like Krazyjoel above me, playing EQ2 and some EVE. Will bypass AOC and play War when it comes out while maintaining a couple EQ2 accounts. |

I bought a preorder for AoC, but got turned off by various stuff, funcoms handling, the aggressive and abusive community, the bad reviews, the fanboi reviews, the crappy open beta client - tied in to the first item listed. If I do buy the game, I doubt Ill play it til a month or two after the game is launched. Perfect launches are rare, and the way Funcom has been running their ship, Im not expecting one. Currently, Im considering playing EQ2 again... I hate SOE alot, but the game is relatively fun, it has a lot more content than Warcrack, graphics are less pretty, but more realistic. And I did love playing my fae, as much as I like my Draenei... Its just SOE... and Smedley. >.> Ive cancelled Warcrack and Lotro waiting for both expansions. Oh, and honestly, AoC is meh to me, the game Im dying to play is Aion. I know its an NCSoft game, styled like Lineage II, but Ive had my eye on it since around 06... |

We are around 50 guildies in my guild, and Im the only one that will proly leave, so... And there are a lot of EQ2 players that simply dont like AoC style. They are really diferent games so dont think AoC will bite for too much EQ2. It will probably be worst for WoW. But well, WoW can loose half it's playerbase and it will still be the boss so.. who cares. -=AlaKraM=- |

edit: sorry did not want to derail the topic |

And as for the topic well some people will go to AOC some will stay thats thier choice it just doesnt interest me at all,the story i mean plus i'm not an FPS fan so using the WASD keys wont go down with my ham fisted fingers. |

I am doing LoTRO and EQII and have zero interst in AoC. I have a couple of friends that are trrying it but they are the ones that try every MMORPG that comes out including the free Korean ones. The way one of em put it the other day if he gets 8 hours of fun out of it it is worth the box price just to see what the hubbub is about. Myself would rather buy a case or two of good imported beer and a large pizza with that money. |

Once word gets out on what a great game this is; more people will try it out. As a player with Early Access let me tell you: AoC surpassed ALL MY EXPECTATIONS. And for the quest-lovers (a lot of EQ2 players), there is not a better game. Only gripe is some of the social mechanics are lacking, but it seems easy enough to change. |

I do get the feeling that AOC may well be the new killer app in the MMO genre but only if you have a good enough pc to run it well (i do but dont like the conan lore tbh) |

i am in AoC early access and enjoying it atm. especially now half a year after rok i have done most things in eq2 allready too often. but i am still not sure if i will stay in AoC and keep it running as a second game after the new effect wears off. Eq2 is still my maingame and i see AoC only as a little distraction for now. I am a guildleader in EQ2 for over 3 years now and while i needed a few little breaks from time to time when i got burned out, the community and especially my guild allways made me come back. |

Yeah, Im leaving EQ2 for AoC, have been waiting for AoC a long while and Im not the only one. EQ2 have been really fun but it have been slow the last 2 months or so. I been playing a bit of AoC in the closed beta and I like it's originality. Havn.t been closing my account yet but will in a few weeks probably, don't know if I will be back. Best thing with EQ2 have always been it's players, I'll miss many nice people but the game start feeling a bit outdated and really needs work to freshen up, the skeleton revamp for an exampel. The quests in AoC is also generaly better, not so many go and kill 50 of X monster as in EQ2. If the next expansion is really good or I get bored of AoC i might come back. |

I'm actually in the same boat. The only game holding majority of my desire to play is Aion. In the meantime I will probably give AoC and War a shot. Currently playing EQ2 and WoW off and on with a dab of Guildwars for my pvp fix. Everything I've seen from Aion is A+ and have been watching it for about a year and a half. Great concept imo. |

AOC is the very definition of average. EQ2 is above average in all aspects and has much more content and depth. Very few will leave EQ2 for AoC, they may try it until they see how totally uninspiring it is, but trying something is one thing, staying with it is a whole different ball game. In short No, everyone is not leaving EQ2 for AoC. |
