Now that EA is opened we are starting to see few more things from the mid lvl areas. Alot has been said about 1-20 and overall that content is looking like its getting pretty polished. And tbh it has to be since first impression in the game are vital. But lets focus on next few lvls and see what is in store. First off - For those that dont already know. The Voiceover stops when you get out of Tortage. But the game still has same basis when talking to NPCs. All in all it doesn't affect the game alot. In many ways it is a proof that alot of content and quests are out there to do. WHen you get to 20 you will have 3 diffrent options on where to lvl. This is a nice change from rather linear 1-20. And it doesn't only give you diffrent quests and areas to explore - but also difffrent looking items. All 3 areas are linked with the city of Tarantia wich is the heart of Hyboria - where you find the class trainers, auchtion houses and the ongoing main storyline through the rest of the game The 3 diffrent areas that you can go into after 20 are: Khemi - Capital of Stygia - Egyptian setting. Undeads and demonic enemies + wild animals like lions and rhinos. WIld lands of Zelata - open areas with wild animals roaming around. Conarch Village - Village of Conan's tribe. You take part in the battles agains the Vanirs in a deep Valley settings (Norway ? ) with alot of up and down running ;D. All 3 of these areas are uniqe and diffrent in many ways. Its a nice change from 1-20 and gives u more variety to make your own story. But it still doesn't limit you to just doing one district. You can still travel through the whole maps and do diffrent quests - but many of them are storydriven with new objectives when you finish. So best bet is to stick to one area - do many quests there and then travel to diffrent areas when you get quests that lead to there. At lvl 20 you have the operetunity to pick your gathering professions.. There are certain maps in the game for those and id recomend you travel there and have a look =) Now... Dungeons and zones. First off. Lets go down to few basics. Every "wild" zone (none city) are diffrent than for many other MMO games. There are two types. Normal: Made for more of a Solo gameplay Epic: Made for grouping up. Every time you go into one of these areas you will be asked if you want to go Epic or Normal. So far I havn't done alot of the epic content but hopefully we will get some more detailed info about it later. As for dungeons. There are also some solo content dungeons and others that are only thought of as Group dungeons. After doing few of these dungeons I have to say that they are quality through and trough when it comes to visuals. And I can very well see how Endgame raiding could be just a blast in these stunning but often horrific looking places with all kinda monsters. Those areas usually have very high FPS so it should not hamper Raids at all. Bugs and problems. Since Open beta was only up to lvl 13 - alot of doubt was put into the 20+ areas in terms of how polished it would be. Personally I would say its defently polished enough to play it. There are still some minor issues here and there but none that are gamebreaking. The enviroment is solid considering the size of it. And ofc - its looking sooo great. All in all I have to say that life after 20 is even better than up to 20. It gives you options - Diffrent routes to take and diffrent tasks to do. But it also gives you the opertunity to enjoy the whole epic world that is Hyboria. I hope this will give players abit of insight into life after lvl 20. The adventure is just starting ! Note: Im a doomsayer ! |

I don't know what to say. I expected some Reports of Post-Level 20 Gameplay around this time. But a positive review. From you????

A very well written review. I must admit that I am also enjoying this game as well and am very excited about reaching 20. |

Well - I never said it was all bad. But there were gamebeaking issues that I reported here on the forums. I have repeatedly stated that Im here to tell the truth about my adventures in Hyboria. If my opinions have been negative then it is because of issues that I have reported here. Edit : But I have also talked about the positives of the game. Somehow the Fanboys kinda forget those when they start slagging ppl of as Doomsayers. |
