WoW > AoC, true story

Why do you have to sell your WOW toons in prep for joining AOC, a game you don't know whether or not you will like?   Sounds like rationaliziation for ass backward thinking to me.  

Meh .. go back to WoW evryone else is enjoyin AoC too much to even care what you do.

I play wow, i think it's a great game.

I've done every heroic

I've fought in the arenas

I've done every BG(even back before it was welfare)

I've cleared karazhan

I've Stormed ZA(and got the third time chest caster ring!)

I've laughed in HKM's face

I've depants'd gruul

I've spit in mags eye

I've tore through ssc, and got stomped by vashj

I've played hockey TK, untill kael scored a goal on us

I've laughed at how terribly easy hyjal is...and then i fought archimonde

I've rolled through the first 3 of BT, and laughed at how easy teron was before constructs got into the raid.

I've leveled 4 chars to 70!

I've gotten every other class to at least 40!

I have done more in wow then most of the fanboys and tards around these forums will ever do.  And i have to say this.

WoW is a great game.  But at the same time... other games can be great too! what a shock!?!!

I mean I can log into wow right now and play it!  Then at the same time... I can go enjoy -other games-  how amazing is that!

How is this possible you ask?  How can someone actually like more than one game?  It's just beyond the realm of human reasoning isn't it?  Yeah.  It is.  

You don't like AoC?  Good for you, your not a special snow flake.  Blizzard doesn't give a shit if you like AoC or not.  Hell they would be just as willing to spit in your eye and stomp on your feet as they would thank you for defending it.  They just don't care.

These forums disgust me these days.  Are all of you on these forums so fragile and scared of the possibility of realizing that your not really doing anything important.  And that hating on other games for the sake of hating isn't scoring you any social points, or making any other game seem better.

I'm going to AoC.  I need something new.  Then when wotlk comes out.... i'm going to play it!  Then when WAR comes out... I'm going to play that too!  And guess what?  I'll have THREE awesome games to enjoy! i can actually have fun in different worlds, without having to worry about my epeen deflating because i'm not devoting my life, my personality, and my opinion around one game.  You all can stand around WoW, having a grand old time trolling forums, and spitting at other games.  Me?  I'm going to be having fun gaming.

I always find it strange when people say you can't judge a game by it's starting area. The first few levels were what got me into WoW and kept geting better and better untill I found out I hate elitism and raiding.

It wasn't the graphics that I liked the most, it was how everything made sense while discovering the mechanics, it was how fun it was just to jump and how much UD /lol sounded, I don't know, undeady.

Oh, geting lost in Undercity for the first time was also a big part of it and also discovering how huge Azeroth looked when using the zoom out function of the map, knowing I need to walk to all those places first.

AoC? I don't know, it just seems more and more meh, the longer I read about it.

Well I sold mine WoW account, and I tried all kinds of AoC betas and I don't regret selling my WoW ass one bit!

Open Beta was not a preview and don't treat it that way.

i don't know what beta you played, but the wow beta was extremely smooth, just as it was at launch.  you can't blame wow's launch for gameplay, as it had NOTHING to do with gameplay.

most mmo's before wow had a maximum of like 300,000 people, blizzard could not have possibly even fathomed how many people bought the game at launch.

people are already having trouble even downloading the pre-game, which funcom charged for... so they took their money and they can't get in, imagine that.  the real mess hasn't even started until tuesday.

so don't even compare the 2.

You really should have tried EA.. it's flawless and fun as hell. 100x better graphics and performance than beta, I was one of the beta people who crashed often, loaded long, couldnt see the full textures.. well scratch all that. Now I can see all that and more. It's one hell of a launch. I wouldn't go back to WoW if you paid me.

    Needless to say, after playing aoc's "open beta" I am very very disapointed.  The so called next gen graphics are just not fantastic enough to warrant a loading screen every time your character takes a few steps (exxageration....barely)

You win at fails, you "anticipated" that the game would be good and you judge it through a beta version.. i know there are alot that could be said, but the one and only thing to describe it.....

AOC will not be for everyone.  You need to have decent pc to run it.  So if ur PC is crap go play the old generation MMOs.

 There will be as many kiddies playing AOC as there is in WOW percentage wise. The forums already seem pretty similar. That said anyone who can already say AOC is worse than WOW etc is showing major bias.  The game hasn't even hit it's official release date yet so thats just ridiculous.

 I haven't seen AOC yet as missed early access but the guildies playing it love it and they all  played WOW amongst others. That doesn't mean WOW is worse than AOC but one thing can't be disputed and that is that WOW is older. I know WOW is stale for me and that alone makes a new mmorpg worth trying and more than 1 or 2 days!.

gona get AoC myself, looks great and i'll be running it on max settings. For me, WoW is the worst MMO i've ever played. the graphics look like it was made on a GameBoy Colour, and the Gameplay...i just cudn't get into it. atm i play SWG which i find great, but i've been playing that for about 3-4 Years and its time for sumin new :)

OMG!!!... This is great news to me, I like to see some of the former WoW players saying bad things about AoC, this tells me that most of you childish bad players, that make WoW such a bad community will stay where you belong.
