Ok this is an mmo rpg site, but well lots of games listed are not even rpg's, so I was wondering, why games like: warbirds or aces high II are not here? Is there somewhere else a site, that list that type of mmo's?

I highly doubt people will be allowed to link to other MMO sites on here...
But anyway, if you feel a game should be added to the list, feel free to email the staff asking them to. |

Online Flight Sims? Why do I get the feeling that there'd just be a lot of crashing in mid-air? |

I actually wouldn't mind if someone took Freespace 2 and turned it into an mmo of some sort. I liked the way it played and it had enough complexity while still being intuitive when you fly it. It's one of the reasons why I wanted to get into EVE but couldn't handle what I thought was an overly complex system... at least for me. |

The oldest and most popular MMO flight sims are run by an outfit called Total Sims. These include Warbirds, Dawn of Aces 3 and Flyboys. You already mentioned Aces High II. And there's also VATSIM, an online air traffic control sim for people that just don't have enough stress in their lives. Aside from that, I don't think there are any other online flight sims. It would be nice if there was something a little more modern. Maybe a remake of Air Warrior with 500 player servers...? BTW, combat flight sims were some of the first networkable games ever made. Having a longer history, the netcode for online flight sims is rock solid. |
