I've read other forums with many others with the same issue, but nobody so far knows how to fix it.
More or less we load up the game, and can hear the videos playing(beginning) but can't see anything but either white, black, or a flashing black screen. That's all we see at all.
Fully patched and everything, still no luck. There's been at least 30 others I've found with the same exact issue.
Anyone have ideas? Thanks in advance. |

Go to your AoC installation directory - > run SimpleConfig, and set your display resolution to one or two settings below what it's set at. That usually fixes it. Also, make sure your video drivers are up to date (if nVidia, I think the latest drivers are 175.16 or something along those lines?) |

Try changing your resolution or play in windows mode, that fixed it for me when I played OB, download the latest beta drivers for your gfx card. |

restart the game, change resolution, switch from full view to window, etc. |

Clench all you want, it''s still going in. |
same old work-around. Start game in windowed mode the first time, once in-game, toggle full scfeen and select your desired resolution. You only need to do this once, unless you for some reason delete your /prefs folder. |

Run the simpleconfig, uncheck fullscreen. Should work. You can then change it back to fullscreen. |

Here is what the debugger shows when I run that as well. It just spams this throughout the entire video showing - for all of them.
I've tried all of the settings, I've also updated video drivers. One of my threads on another forum got 3 more people saying they have the same issue as well.
I did play in pvp weekend/open beta - never had in issue in either. So it's not my pc.

All I've seen on that is advice to set it to dx 9, but you probably read it. Whats your system specs then? |

New update - reading the debugger it's claiming files aren't in the RDB and that's where the issue is from according to the game. Or whatever they're called.
May just reinstall and see if that helps, but with so many others having issues too...Maybe it won't. Could it be the fact that most of us have been updating our game daily, rather than just waiting till the end? |
