Levels 1-20 are supposed to be the same, as they are the "storyline" levels. This isn't WoW, remember? Aye, you are very true this isn't WoW where the game is the same from 1-70 EVERYTIME!!! If you mean my use of fanboi, I must ask "Who else would be defending such a buggy, unstable, technological nightmare?" The OP has been effectively dismissed, but that does NOT change the fundamental fact that from a tech standpoint, AoC is the new Vanguard.

Considering at launch you could start out an any of the npc cities on any of the base planets you do have a point, however missions were either animal/npc lairs/bases or delivery. Even than the only difference was were you started out, there were no unique type quests to each city. SWG never had a decent "questing" system. However, nothing beats player made content, something SWG "had".

As oppossed to killing x amount of boar's or x amount of wolves maybe with a different background? who cares about the 1st 20 levels,there are another 60 after that,also for me i have always enjoyed the learning of new classes and no matter how much you take your time the 2nd and 3rd time always show you quests or places you have missed. Also using your logic everything in MMo's are the same(well AoC does use a slighty different combat system)>get quest>goto quest area>press 1,2,3,4,5,etc>get quest done>hand in quest,I have to ask what is your point?

Comparing AoC to Vanguard as far as tech is concerned is purely opinion. Yes I agree that a few people problems running the game, but to make the comparison and for it to hold water, you'd have to wait till after the 20th.
ursin Novice Member Joined: 3/04/05 Posts: 146	5/16/08 8:09:39 PM#53 Report this post Explain why you are reporting this post: (750 characters max.) 1 to 20 == no replayablity? i dunno... 1 to 20 typically takes those familiar with MMO's 3 or 4 days..... i know people who have been playing games currently out there for a year plus.... 3 or 4 days vs 365 days + seems theres a whole bunch of replayability potential in those other 361+ days.... but i don't know anything, i liked vanguard (mostly) "We aren't going to ... Period. End of statement." ya. ok. whatever. but what do i know, i'm only a vanbois i'm told.

Eh, there's not much difference for the first levels in any MMO. Played quite a few and allways tend to quick level past lvl 20 as fast as possible after I done it once. Don't say WOW is much better, after a while you will visit the same zones again and again. Only game i played who was different is Guildwars which the expansions are sepperate world so if you want to you can just stay in the new exp all the time. Wow exp made you just go onto the ones you already been to with your other characters after level 20 anyways. Guess thats why I'm rarely have more than 1 alt in any game. And races? Please, this world was made before Tolkien borowed elfs and dwarfs from norse mythology and invented the orcs. If you dont think a game in low fantasy setting can be intresting, stay in WOW or wait for WAR, if you are not intresting in a world, don't troll the forum with meningless threads. I don't like fps, do I troll their forums with concerns about that? No.
