Why so serious? |
nomather howmenny betas they gona do.. this game sucks.. its suppose to be a horror game... well its a game without horror... the characters look WAY too smooth like its a piece of plastic. grind after grind after grind. there are quests but pretty much all of em are useless its either kill sumthing or talk 2 someone... so called nightmare mode is a joke allmost nothing changes suppose to get lil bit more foggie and when ur fighting someone u see ppl running past u with funny names... realy scarry... "instances" are allso a joke out of the few i did i must say i liked only 1 since it was something new and hadent seen b4 sort of a obstical course with ofc loads of monster. |

Well I enjoy the game... was in closed beta, and am now rerolling for open. The designs of monsters are pretty crazy, and sure you're just grinding out quests but... well every MMO is like that. It's fun and entertaining. The open beta though right now is flooded. I logged in this morning and you'd have to camp monster spawn points just to do things (respawns are fast though). Trying to install the patch though was a bit of a nightmare. Had to go to the forums and try several different tricks other posters had listed there before the patch would work. For new players, downloading the client will take about a day... there were no real strong seeds on the BT and the regular downloads were a bit slow. |

so far i am liking the game alright. decent graphics, a good amount of polish. engrish still exists in the quests, but its less noticeable than most. all in all, not a bad mmo. unfortunately, it has absolutely nothing to do with horror and doesnt look much of anything like the trailers i was getting excited about. |

Not to start a flame war... but, honestly, what do you expect quests to consist of? If you're ruling out killing things, and going to talk to someone... Go pick flowers? Go take a nap? Bake some cookies? |

I was able to dl and play the closed beta. It was interesting, and certainly better than most f2p mmorpgs I have tried. But this "open beta" ... my goodness. I downloaded it using the official torrent download and then the Gameshell client. Neither worked. Kept getting Error:6 failed internet connection issues. I am not techie by any means, but I gave the program permission to bypass my firewall, etc. no joy. So I have no idea if the Open Beta is an improvement, seeing as I cannot get past the thing installing and looking for its first update.
From reading the official forums I am not alone. I hope they figure out what is causing these issues. Likely something to do with vista (go figure), but I have four other mmorpgs installed on my pc and all of them work fine, no patch errors, no connection issues, etc. so Im going to guess it's a Requiem error. Hope those of you who are able to get the client to work are having fun.
Peace now. |

Make a WORLD, |

I was in the CB for a long time. I had no noticeable lag then, and only rare lag bursts (server side issues then), and extremely rare disconnections from server ( maybe 3 in many weeks).
In this OB, in same configuration, the lag is bad enough as to make the game almost unplayable, and disconnections/crashes are frequent. Plus many quests are bugged (blank, for instance)
In other worlds, when an OB should have already cleared a number of problems from the CB, this game actually went worse...
