Its like a historical fantasy, such as George R R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire. So look here you set loving whore,  different races and civillizations are going to be cracking each others skulls in, cutting down their foes, taking over each others lands and having all out brutality of carnage for ages to come, and you whine that there is ZERO replayability! Youre a mad man if you think that is the case. Maybe blood makes you squimish, maybe you work for the enemy. Whatever the case, we all will be loving the hell out of Hyboria while you're busy being a weak minded little craven. If you grow a spine, come join the fray! If not, Im sure you'll find your glory in Warhammer, like the rest. I think you're missing out, but hey, we all are stranded on Tortage until we overthrow the overlord and his dark magics.. it must suck to do that eh? Actively change your world by joining forces with other races to slay the Red Hand? God, that must be so boring.. not. After 20, you return home, its a good cause to fight for, going to your homelands. Oh and you can skip Tortage I believe, after you get one character to 20. So how do ya like them Apples!

Sypro tells everyone that playing from level 1 to 20 is just a torturial.

So this can be skipped.

So IF the story so important as everyone say, and IF as everyone say that you can play your character SO MANY WAYS thrue level 1 to 20.

Why can you skip 1 to 20 as it is just torturial? -.---------------------------------------------------

If you're so dead set on your ideas about what the first 20 levels are like, why don't you play the game and find out your answer rather than making up your own preconceptions about the game before you've even tried it?

Or are you too stubborn to do so?

After all, one can justify any side of an argument, it all depends how you twist and skew the information to suit your own opinion.

Errrr okayyyyyyyyyy umm how bout this flash. You don't like the concept of the game? Don't play!

Wait for your game or go make one that meets your need. Don't really get the idea of pissing on something that other people are looking forward too...guess you just have too much time on your hands.

What game (s) are you currently playing? That way we know what to take a dump on.

WHAT, no nude gnome females doing lap dances in the tavern?

He's right, replay value....zero!

When are they going to make a MMORPG for the lovers, and not just the fighters?

The game is even called Love...and it is a MMO.  Enjoy.

....but can you also kill things, explore, and craft?

Think about it this way.

Would you only watch a movie once, just because you've seen it and it means nothing now? If you watch that same movie again, you'll notice more, learn things about the story that you hadn't learnt in the first place, and possibly see some of the subliminal quirks that are added to a lot of movies today.

Plus, as stated before, the story changes. Even if it didn't, you still have to try out all of the different classes and test out different playstyles.

And also, more than one race would do absolutely nothing for this game. This isn't a fairy tale, its a down and dirty adult MMO meant for people who like the realism aspect of video games (disregarding the monster aspect of the Hyborian world) and those who like a game that was made for maturity and not for children.

Sure, a gallon of blood being slung everytime something is hit (including yourself) is most definately realistic.......... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHSTwF9OEaQ&NR=1

(sorry for the crap music the creator of this video used)

Some people want realism in their games, some don't. If you don't like the dark, gritty and gory setting of Robert E. Howard's Conan, then play something that has the setting that you feel more comfortable with. I'm sure Hello Kitty online would have tons of different races to play; from cute and cuddly kittens to cute and cuddly bears and duckies....

To each their own.

No need to hate on a game because you don't like it, just don't play it.

I don't go on the WoW forums and talk about how lame that game is.

Age of Conan is the best MMO to come out in my opinion since Asheron's Call, which coincidentally only had human player races too.

It is all vaporware until I see it go live!

Yeah, i'll agree, replaying levels 1-20 won't be too fun, but even if you chose to, i'm pretty sure you'd blow through it in no time.

As to the lack of races? Not a big deal.  In most games the racial differences are for appearance more than anything else.  Rarely do they vary in abilities by much because people would view them gimped and they'd be hard to balance.

Take WOW for instance, a Gnome Warrior should have had 1/2 the strength of a Tauren, but that was never the case.  And most games follow the same model.

But I can see where it still might not appeal.  In the end, your choice is to go play another game.

The topic is a valid concern, just not right now I don't think. I mean, the game hasn't launched. Anyone burned out on the replayability of it due to beta alone, during a level capped environment where their gameplay was solely confined to that area...well they aren't giving the game a fair shake.

Months from now after doing the same beginning area over and over, although four different ways due to the quest differences per archetype, it might become a bit stale then.

Then again, maybe not. Like I said the entire game has to be judged; I played City of Heroes for years but never got tired of starting in Atlas Park; mainly because I had characters of all different levels; so when I got tired of Peregrine Island, Atlas Park was refreshing despite it being billionth time I was there.

So you know, its not like replayability is going to be the lone factor bothering anyone about the game. Usually a lack of replayability only rears its head when a player is dissatisfied with every other level of the game as well. 'else they'd just play higher level characters until replaying the beginning seems fresh again.

Anyway though, like I said, the point is valid, or will be to some someday. No huge glaring flaw though, but definitely a foreseeable problem when it comes to the exposed "grind" of any MMO when dealing with one way to do anything that must be repeated.

Obvious remedy is for 'em to vary the experience one day with alternate starting areas. I doubt that'll come before an expansion, and I doubt they'll let us start skipping to level 20. Who knows? It's not an issue today.
