First this isn't a joke. I do that sort of crap.

Their automated system told me I can pick up my pre-order of AoC tomorrow 05/16/08.

Then there was a bit of a disclaimer saying that the game servers would not be available even with the game key until the 20th.

Maybe AoC is opening the reins a bit to alleviate some of the issues relating to not everyone getting into the 3 day EA. At least more folks will be able to join directly on the 20th versus waiting around.

Good luck to everyone. I'm going to call them in the AM (my local store) and if the boxes are in go pick them up. I'll post again if I get them.

thats normal...o got bc a week before it was released....obviusly couldent play it...but was good to have

My gamespot AoC shipment will not arrive till late 20th or 21.

Yeah I just called my EB and they said they probably won't get it until the 21st.

Would be cool to have the box tomorrow though, you know...just to smell and stuff

I pre-ordered once.   That was for Everquest 2.   I got the game 8 days after launch.   I ended up buying a copy off the shelf the day of the launch because my "pre-order" hadn't arrived.     I ended up saving the receipt from the store purchase and returning the unopened pre-order for a full refund.   On top of that EQ 2 SUCKED (at launch..but a decent game now).

I would have loved to get my copy on time...let alone early.

Wow just got the call.  Funny thing is i was there today and the guy i allways chat with didn't menchened a thing about it.
