Age of Conan

So,how bad will it be on a pvp server? Constant gankfest? Will it be difficult to accomplish quests? Meaning if I only have 2 hours of play time each day, will most of it be consumed by finding my corpse? I enjoy both aspects of MMO's PVE and PVP(not much of an RP'r though)....I cant decide on which server type I should choose. Any CB testers care to respond with their thoughts and or suggestions?

Hard to tell, first 3 days people will care more about leveling than ganking. The are always dicks out there but if you get in a guild you can play in 2's and 3's and the gankers will think twice about attacking.

I know we would all like to think people will be mature enough not to turn the PVP server into a gankfest, but we all know that won't happen. I honestly think this game is going to be more prone to "gankfestery" than other games, simply because you can attack whoever you want, whenever you want, aside from guildies.

I havent beta tested at all, but given the current state of the community i would say yes. Your best bet is to roll on a PvE server enjoy the game and if u find u are disatisfied with the ammount of pvp it has roll a 2nd toon on a pvp server.

No its not, and with every class being able to stealth, its easily avoidable...

so your saying I'll need to be grouped to protect myself constantly on a pvp server ? I dont want to group up and clear-grind quests for xp. I want to solo and read the quests and follow the storyline. I had hoped whatever pvp penalty that exists would at least allow me to finish quests solo without someone grave camping my corpse.

dunno if i want full pvp server now

every class can stealth ? thats kinda lame. that ability has always belonged to the rogueish types in mmo's

IMO, it will probably take a while for the PVP servers to become a stable environment. In the first couple weeks, you're going to have all the people who kill everything that moves spawn camping and zone camping.

Eventually, people will start hunting THEM, and at that point things will start to become more defined.

In other words, it will be anarchy for a while until the players build some kind of "order" out of the chaos.

Rogues have advantages....can't say more.

It sucks mate i know but thats FFA PvP, if you dont  have much PvP experience then maybe PvE is the way to go. There will still be PvP in the border lands and such on the PvE servers.
